I think the Sisters Of Battle animation shows the progression both the AI and bstuartTI have made in this few months. For AI it is terrifying. For bstuartTI it is impressive. Please more, especially of the Sisters Of Battle! Thank you.
Epic and exciting, very nice. Stabilizing imagery for the Space Marine would help, ensure the dragon's breath from the Bolter blast is spot on, shots fired, shells ejected, trajectory on linear course. Ensure the Space Marine is truer to the original form, A.I. tends to take liberties and fill in gaps. Perhaps remix clips of previous cinematics to give your shots weight and familiarity. Connect it to the wider world. Also never hurts to throw more 40K iconography in there to really drive the symbolism and intended message home. Good, entertaining work that with some refinement will define what A.I. prompted cinema can be.
@@bstuartTI 1:44 the Astartes are pretty much perfect. Any imperfections could be explained with an original chapter. Honestly once you have stability figured out it will be amazing. Great start though, where did you learn how to do this?
Very nice. I like the Space Marines, because they seem more Rogue Trader era, more human proportionate and not gigantic. The enemy monsters are good too, maybe because they aren't directly recognizable as Tyranids or Chaos beings, remembering that the Galaxy is very vast and the races represented in the game aren't the only ones Astartes are called to fight. Good job!
Thanks man! I'm glad you liked it. I definitely want to add my own spin on things while still respecting the history/lore of the universe. So much to learn, and while the AI tools won't allow for perfect renditions yet, my goal is to try and stay somewhat faithful. I'll have to check out the stories in the Rogue Trader era for sure :)
This. At best let's call it a solid alternate take on x and y. Cos after all even the official GW artwork and styles vary in exacting canon. I actually liked the slightly slimmer SM look... gives the idea that the armour actually allows a reasonable range of movement, agility and speed while still being very protective and powered... After all SM tech is the best mankind has and while armour can only be so good, cover and movement are, like now, advised as the best protection etc. It's in keeping with the more recent, longer and leaner Primaris look tbh. Likewise the monster foes... assuming Tyrannids, is there any hard and fast rule they need all be alike in their forms or have two tone colour schemes? After all, it's also canon that the Hive Fleets evolve very fast and are incredibly diverse in make up and acquisition of biomass (nm operating with little contact, if ever, tens and hundreds of light years apart) I like it, a good showcase for 40K while being a little different yet remaining within lore... which if you read some of the non SM books, the Imperium alone is mind bogglingly vast and varied in just about all aspects bar veneration of the Emperor. Some Imperial worlds are actually pretty decent places to be, even for the lower classes.
The one thing I have to point out is that none of those monsters exist in the WH4k universe. Other than that I wish it were actual action instead of these picturesk half motion scenes. They look really good it's just very blah after the first minute.
Absolutely beautiful. Small things are a bit off, but the biggest thing, in my opinion, was it didn't really capture the bulkiness of an astartes. The helm and power pack looked great, but he looked like a normal sized human.
Thank god for AI art, this was fucking perfect! 1:36 was freaking impressive all the way, the entire thing shows how photo realistic/ live action warhammer would rule! Also love everything about the way the aliens looked and moved, the way ai generates plays a cool role in setting up those unorthodox digital shapes that clearely are less fine tuned and more random gobbles of information.
Okay it kinda fooled me for a second, but damn, AI still has a LOT of work before being an actual replacement to 3d artists. It writes somewhat good scripts already, so probably in 5-10 years, if civilization doesn't collapse to the point of electricity being out, we'll get to see AI do something truly believable.
How did you get Runway to produce results like this ? O.O ? I MUST know! I can only get it to create simple, subtle movements Everything else just warps and contorts, etc. & looks awful How on earth did you get Runway to "actually" animate these images ? Please, I gotta know. Lol. It's incredible :D
It takes a LOT of generations to find a usable one. I have 2 unlimited accounts and it can take 100-200 generations to find 1 that I'm satisfied with. Starting with higher res images also helps. I also use TOPAZ AI to upscale instead of the built in upscale in runway. Glad you liked it!
Good job! Try doing some of a comical story of the Astra Militarum with their Auxillerias... Like dealing with Felinids, thefts from the Ratlings, or getting A Ogryn to NOT steal a door to use a door as a shield.
Thanks! I was actually thinking of doing a parody next, you read my mind :) I may do something like that after I finish my current project. Should be done by end of week.
I loved it .For an AI generated work its very good. What stood out was the different renders of the space marines. The Nidz could use I bit more work to be brought closer to home. Wright now they looked milder and smoother from the original. If you can make them more rigid and get the chtin to stand out you`d be a god. Great work keep going.
Thanks! I’ll definitely be trying to improve the consistency and accuracy of the character designs as I make more shorts. Thanks for the suggestions :)
@@bstuartTI How? When it does all the creating by itself? And even then, it's all derivative. All drawn from people who actually made something from scratch using their imagination. AI has no imagination. Nor do those who rely on it.
@@TheRamoach I get where you're coming from, but hear me out. The creation of this video involved over 20 hours of human effort, illustrating that AI, while powerful, is merely a tool that requires human direction and imagination. AI also allows more people to tell their stories, people who might not have had the opportunity otherwise. And about AI being derivative, isn't all art kind of like that? We all build on what's been done before, and that's how we find new ways to be creative. Generative AI is simply a new medium of human expression, it doesn't kill or prevent humans from exploring other art forms, it unleashes what humans can do.
@@bstuartTI I appreciate that what you did takes effort, but human art isn't derivative in the same way that A.I is. People take inspiration from things which manifests in their work. A.I outright copies and warps those materials. I won't argue against generative A.I being a form of expression though. It's cool for what it is, but I would hate to see a world where people lean on it and create a creatively bankrupt world.
@@TheRamoach Pretty much agreed. This generative AI takes a ladelful from a vat of stuff that humans have already created (and increasingly including the inbred already-generated AI products as well) and pseudo-crafts something together via input parameters. It's an expression-magnifier that borrows entirely from already-made things. Quoting this video's uploader: "Anyone with a good idea will be able to share it in a compelling way..." That is not the complete situation, though. Anyone *with access to this AI* will be able to produce such stuff, but the 'good idea' comes from the person. And there's no guarantee that any idea put through this is 'good' just because it's being AI'd up. This particular process creates a muxed approximation of various others' creative visual skills. People will use it. It's a shortcut to a viewable product. We kinda know what people will do with it, and how it will go. I'm not really a fan, and would rather aprreciate less artificial methods, but that's me.
You can immediately make it entirely lore accurate, despite the AI weirdness, by hand-wavium plotmagic: ".......battle ensued in a profoundly warp-cursed area, the boiling sea of madness threatening to tear the Ultramarines sanity from him at any moment, his form altering, his armour's shape unfixed; but one constant remained - the enemy had to be faced and torn asunder....' etc etc, insert standard words like 'lambent', and 'hellfire' :)
lol I like the hand-wavium plot device :D. My current project there's a lot less noticeable gear mis-matching. It's still there slightly but a lot better. It just takes a LOT more time to do... Over the next few months this problem will likely completely disappear as soon as the tools improve.
Unfortunately, It’s a tool limitation right now. Consistent clothing/outfits is a holy grail with AI that we haven’t quite solved yet. There are some solutions but they increase production time exponentially, and this short was a test to see how fast I could make something in 1 day. So it wasn’t my intention, but it will get better as the technology evolves :)
Feels like an animated slideshow. You know this posters that have 2 images as you move? That. Having different camera angles for the same scene, and having the characters interact physically, like the marine punching, grabbing and throwing, aiming, moving while shooting (And actually seeing the target getting shot at). I know this is all a lot to ask, but it's what I personally would be working towards to, as it would have the most impact. Great job anyways!
I think these things will be coming over the next 12 months or so, which will allow creators to get the kind of dynamic action you're looking for, I'd do it if it were possible :). Current AI workflows start with an image and then the motion models attempt to 'hallucinate' motion from the static picture. It often takes hundreds of rerolls until something passable comes out. In the future, I think the models will begin to understand 3-dimensionality and motion much better, and we'll be able to get the kind of dynamism of traditional cinema. It's still early days with these tools, but def excited about future possibilities. Thanks for your comment, I agree with you :)
After a quick search I totally see that, very good point. I'm just starting to get into 40k lore, so much to learn, but super fascinatingly. one of my goals as the AI tools get better, allow for better details, is to make more lore accurate representations in future vids.
It was definitely good, but I would drop the background audio of the weapons as it was both out of sync with whatever weapons you had showing and also very filled with lots of "clicks" that were distracting from what you were showing.
Someone missed the part of 40K lore where the Imperium went through a whole ass dark age due to the development of AI.
