Thank you for watching! I’m still learning how to make videos, but I try my best to showcase the beauty of nature

I just found your channel. Good video! I'm a Mainer. Partridge hunting is my favorite. Sometimes I heater hunt, sometimes I wander. Last week I wandered about 3 miles on a dirt road.

Thank you! Nothing wrong with staying comfortable and enjoying the logging road scenery :) still a few weeks left for partridge!

Oh yeah.... I'm in hopes to get out more this week and see if I can "drum" up anything. I'm not sure if I'll head back to the same area or give another place a shot. Ditch chickens are the best tasting thing out there. I recorded some partridge wandering for my Rumble channel. @@newenglandhuntress

Great video. I'm from CA and never been to the Northeast but I plan to drive to Maine this fall for some bird hunting. Last fall I drove to Alaska and got Willow Ptarmigan, Spruce Grouse, Sharptail Grouse and returned home via Eastern Montana where I got Sage Grouse and Hungarian Partridge. Saw a Ruffed Grouse in Alaska but it gave me the slip before I could pull the trigger. Hopefully I can get both color phases in Maine.

Alaska sounds amazing! Someday I’ll go Ptarmigan hunting up there! I’m sure you’ll be able to get both color phases in Maine. Hope you enjoy your adventure out here!

Very well done video, enjoyed watching.i can give a little tip if you're training your dog to hunt bird's it's wise not to go after rabbits. Dedicated bird dog's have instinctual ability to find birds, but you can train any breed to find what you're after. Good luck.

Vibeke being like “no it’s my bird” 😹 I love her

Can’t blame her for trying! We’ve got frozen wings now, and I think that’s making a big difference bc they are tempting like a real bird, but she’s also learning that it’s in her best interest to bring it to me.

Thank you for teaching about the partridge - I had zero knowledge about this animal prior to this video. The sonic boom sounds crazy and I'd love to hear it in person someday.

Thank you for watching! They’re really cool birds. In the fall they go exploring and it’s the best time to hear one flush

Nice to see a side- by - side shotgun being used for a change.

I love it! I shoot an Ithaca NID 20ga. From 1930s I think. I really like classic guns; they have stories and adventures to tell. Many are family heirlooms. Although modifications need to be made for women, or just get one manufactured for women - I’ll be doing a review on my new Syren (women’s line from Caesar Guerini) probably next month

I’m actually from NH, but many of my hunting buddies are from MA so I like to joke about the accent :)
