Love this game! I'm a big sucker (see what I did there?) for vampire themed games and I bought this game practically blind and it was totally worth it! This should be getting much more buzz!
My strategy is to ignore the race entirely, barely leave the starting area, spend all the resources on buying points cards and then sneak back into the castle, avoiding the stressful race home. Maybe pick up some goal cards if it's easy. It can break the game.
This one can be counter intuitive on the first play as adding cards to your deck can greatly reduce your effectiveness. It's not like most deck builders where adding cards is almost always a good thing.
You can't think if this as the tradition deck builder. Like Cody says in the review, buying cards is not always the best option. I really is a good twist to the deck builder genre.
Agree with you. Very good game. You may think you playing smart and then "poof" like you say. And whether you super like the art style or not, there is a ton of unique art (and unique cards).
It's Richard Garfield and Vampires, what's not to love?
Indeed.
I bought it against the harsh negative reviews. I am grateful that I agree with your views that stand out. Take care and well done!!!
Thank you!
Did you know that John Holmes also designed a vampire themed board game in the 1970s ..

It was called 'The well-hunger'.
D’oh!
Love this game!

Agreed. Great game!
Hey Cody have you had a chance to play Plains Indian Wars? (Love the channel btw.)
Last night. Stay tuned for the review.

Sounds like it.

Left another video due to his BLM shirt. Much cooler shirt here.

Exactly - and it’s all the richer for it.
