I LOVE that they put that barrier up between the platform & train track & the way it opens when the train comes to a stop. No one can push anybody onto the tracks 👍🏽
@@concernedcitizen6572 That's great. I lived in NYC and visit from time to time and people pushing other people on the tracks is ridiculous and makes no sense.

My favorite systems I've been on would be the Taipei MRT and Bangkok BTS/MRT both are modern and clean (as well as having transit authority at nearly every station). Bangkok was a little more modern (considering it was built more recently). NYC would first have to remove all of the homeless and drug offenders first and then focus on people hopping the fare stations to avoid paying.
Taipei is quite modern, even for the USA! I love the fencing to prevent people from falling onto the tracks, and your information is quite interesting.
Enjoyable and relaxing subway ride ,it’s always great to see different countries metro systems and how efficent they are 😎And this Taipei/ Taiwan metro ride wasn’t an disappointment but an opposite🙂 3:45 Quite easy to buy tickets from that machine and it’s great that there is an options for the choosing languages 😎Thank you for this informative and enjoyable subway ride A K🙂👍!!!
The Taipei MRT and bus system is one of the best ways to get around the city. The trains are clean, graffiti free, no garbage, or smudges on the floor. The trains are efficient, with times between trains of no more than 5 minutes. The buses are fun, a little older, and depending on the driver, prepare to hold on when you board in case he suddenly takes off, but all-in-all a great way to see the city. Also, people give up their seats for seniors, pregnant woman, and the handicapped willingly. Very similar to the TfL in London but cleaner and with larger coaches. If you haven't already, check out Nanmen Market, and Dongmen Market, both are near Ximending. Also, most tourist seem to stay near Ximending, try the Da'an area, it's where Taiwan expats stay when they go back. Less congested and relaxed. Check out the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Mall near Taipei 101.
I was actually in Taipei recently, and I’ve been to Taipei a couple times and I’ve rode the subway every time I was in Taipei. I can see why people say the Taipei metro is one of the best metro systems in the world. Back where I live in San Francisco, the BART is my local metro system and it has MANY differences compared to Taipei.

How do most Taiwanese feel about the possibility of being reunified with China?
Vast majority are against it. Fewer than 5% want it. At least not with CCP's China.
