I have to say, hearing the respect Hercules gets to the point where he’s an honorary member of the Round Table is a massive breath of fresh air. I don’t know why but lately I’ve been finding stories where characters either hate or disrespect Hercules.
Those rock's movie didn't help.
Tbf every time we’ve seen herc, he’s not at his strongest. Berserk herc is arguably his weakest class and avenger herc isn’t as strong as archer herc either. It’s said that herc is so op that he is banned to be used in greek holy grail wars as masters would just kill each other to get his catalyst

This video tells me that Herc died in Atlantis solely to avoid him showing up reuniting up with his weapon. Since Marmyadose should be in of the Greek Lostbelts since they happen after the Giant Wars for a fourth Great War. As I’m sure Herc could still use it as a Servant and probably would have been a powerhouse in those.
This makes me wonder is this hinting that we are going to get Saber Heracles? Also from how they were describing the lore and power of this weapon, could he be a potential Grand Servant?
The Fact he is also a candidate for Grand Archer (I forgot where i hear this from) is already saying a point. Like, he is someone who can rival Orion in terms of archery. That's a feat not many can rival.
I think the other candidate is that Chinese myth where a man shoot 11 sun and the last sun become the sun it is today. I forgot what his name was.

Hearing this it’s wild that Richard the Lion Heart has to face off against Alcides in Strang Fake. You can’t tell me Alcides isn’t at least a Candidate for Grand Saber cause whoever is the Gand has to have a sword and skill greater than this god slaying sword and Alcides.
Tbf Alcides in strange fake is an Avenger which would be weaker than his Archer or theoretical Saber class

Now the question is whether this weapon or Ea is greater as both are very destructive and can slay deities. Although I think Ea would be greater in my opinion since it existed before the concept of a world or sword, but Zeus seems to have made a weapon that could possible rival Ea.
Marmayadose being a mythological mystic code it likely means if you can unleash all its power then you'll be able to do the bullshit stuff the others mythological mystic codes can do, which is going times the Speed of likghty, being able to defy concepts, defeating super bb in her territory etc, we only have few of these but they are all BROKEN, it is likely that saber herc as a normal servant cannot wield this sword or at least not fully utilize it cause it'd be way too strong for a normal hgw, which is why we wait for fgo
I'm pretty sure Nasu would say Ea. Marmayadose can beat armies of titans no diff. However, Ea can rend the fabric of reality and make all the beings within nonexistent.

Yeah... The one issuenI have with 3rd ascension Castoria during The Morgan Lostbelt was how she died without entering that form. So we never get an explanation for what happened to the "Treasures" she lost when she arrived in Faerie Britain from Avalon. And we first see her use it vs Oberon-Vortigen but never is there an explanation during the story when she appears in her 3rd ascension of why she has it or why she has Rhongominiad projectiles. Imo anyways.

Don't forget Invisible Air, Avalon, Her Castle's Hall(Bright Ehangwen), Prydwen, Lion of Light, Clarent, and a few other things lol, Artoria was pretty loaded though some of these things aren't accessible to her or can only be used in different classes

Is Artoria's scabbard truly the best defense type Noble Phantasm when paired with Excalibur or are there better defensive type Noble Phantasms? By the way, I do include Phantasm's like Hercules 12 Lives as a defensive noble phantasm. When I say defensive I mean anything that would allow you to take a hit or survive an attack while using phantasm, swords, shields, or armor, skills do not count.
Avalon can't even be penetrated by true magic, true magic defeated Crimson moon, a type, so yes its the Best defensive NP, Heracles's 12 lives while good can be bypassed by overwhelming firepower so the bigger the difference between You and an enemy becomes the less efective IT becomes, Mash/Galahad's shield is probably number 2 in terms of raw defense since IT did block Goetia's NP even though She died from IT.
@@bocanalex1954 The ones that are said to be able to contend with it are the real Rho Aias and Odysseus's Aegis so I'd like to hope we see both of them in the future to compare.

still hold true to the statement? Because i believe it was said that EA is stronger than excalibur
and only a fully unsealed excalibur could match it.
I believe that it is not as strong as Unsealed Excalibur, had that been the case pretty sure the White Titan would've have been nuked by Marmayadose instead of Excalibur.

Ea: strongest NP (according to FGO-law of creation), AAS is Hotter than a million Excalibur, Marmyadose is Stronger than Excalibur
@@zain.munirzain5872 The problem with that is no one could have used marmyadose to it's full extent besides heracles not even altria could so we don't know if heracles could have beaten the white titan with marmyadose.
@@namelessvoid9725 well that is the thing, since Artoria didn't use either weapon at full strength it is difficult to sort of measure them up, both weapons are strong, one can kill divine beings while the other killed a being who killed most gods, still like I said before any divine spirit imo would still get a better use out Marmyadose than Saber, as much as I love her we have to face the facts, the fact that she can even wield it and use it says a lot. But humans like to take things at face value, so maybe Artoria was like yeah this is stronger than Excalibur even though she never used it too it's full extent. The only close thing we have is Excalibur Proto which destroys Gil's NP and damages him as well, not to mention the dude is after a beast alone which shows what it can do.
@@zain.munirzain5872 Well i guess we'd technically never know but it has been confirmed that saber has said that her excalibur is just as strong and has the same seals as proto excalibur. Also proto excalibur did destroy Gil's NP but what you should remember is that 1 it was never fired and 2 it wasn't EA. And even though saber never used excalibur at full power she knew about the seals and likely how strong it could be. The difference is that if artoria released all the seals she could use excalibur no problem she would just need to meet the conditions. But with marmyadose it doesn't matter what she did merlin said she'd never be able to use it to it's full potential like Heracles could and i think that means something.

Marmyadose is basically more overpowered version of Excalibur. Hell, the description alone says so.
I'm glad they never really say that grand saber was supposed to be castoria (since she is supposed to be excalibur incarnate I think). That way a saber Heracles can be given the role, but I doubt we will see another grand until after OC3 which at this rate is like 2 years...

You know I can't help but wander if shirou sees that weapon could shirou weird it after all once shirou traces a weapon he gains the ability to use any weapon as good as the original owner?
You have to also understand that shirou has his limits on what he can project and use. Marmydose is a sword is said to be stronger than Excalibur, so would wielding it's power overload his magic circuits? I'd imagine Archer would be able to do it, even if with some complications but we don't really have a example to go off of as Excalibur is the strongest sword either have ever projected, and we haven't seen Archer ever project anything better.
Shirou has its limits, he struggle with divine constructs, mythological mystic codes are basically their "upgrade" maybe nameless with HIS mythological mystic codes could, but i doubt it'd be easy either way
So a fully unsealed Excalibuir will still beat out this weapon but never a sealed one? Who could handle a fully unsealed excalibur then I wonder other than whoever is rever to be grand saber of course provably whoever defeated Zefar. Maybe Arueid in Type form both being an extension of the planet itself she probably could handle Excalibur the easiest sharing the same nature with the sword though the swordsmanship skills might be something she would lack.

The seals are basically conditions. If he meets all the conditions, all seals are dropped. It's just most of the time only a couple seals can be unlocked.
Basically in theory herc’s sword is stronger on average because there is no limitation aside from strength where as excalibur has lower power but conditionally can further increase its power. In anime terms it would probably be like herc’s sword being equal to ultimate gohan in z who was the strongest unfused fighter at the time until super, and then gogeta/vegito who over powered them by doing the condition of fusion being excalibur

So its simple Herc does not have the sword first in game because the sword itself was invent for the Arthurian myths it does not exist in ancient myths. Each author of the cycle added their own symbolism and mythology to the knights. Its the same as Galahad having the Sword of the Strange Hangings. Its supposed to be David's but there is no such thing.
