Gday mate i only just took it off as it got harder to close up due to the fabric poking out the sides it retains memory after a while it became a 2 man job my over all thoughts is spend the extra coin and get one that doesnt have that problem in 12 months dont forget you get what you pay for

I personally would leave the black cloth because it would stop any moisture getting into your mattress it will trap it than your mattress underlay has that chance of not getting any moisture getting past it and it seems to work great for me so have both and when you get the chance it wouldnt hurt to pull everything out to dry out 🤙

Gday mate its held up well the only thing i can say negative about it is its harder to close up where the fabric needs poking in so 2 person job makes it easier at first when you get it its easy other than that i still use mine and for the money cant go wrong

Warranty gone the minute he put sika on it or did any other mods to it unfortunately kings are dks like that,

Gday mate i found after 12 months of use its become harder to close the lid because of the fabric wanting to stick out of the sides so its becoming a 2 man job even a 3 man job to poke all the fabric in as closing it so that could be the reason why your not getting a proper seal thats probably why mine hasnt had mold in it yet and i do regularly check on it i seem to get condensation under the mat after a big rain fall at the end of the day im going to look for another RTT thats easy to close on my own hope that helps 🍻

Gtrat bit of kit mate 👌 but i dont think it would really work for me with my 270 awning and im really about fast pack up for multi camping but ocam is a great set up and looks quality 🍻

@@goldcoastdronevision it does actually work with a 270 awning. The tent has 3 entry points. One at the back and one each side. The ladder has a stand off setup at the top so it would clear your canopy

It does definitely look alot easier to pack up ill look in to it more mate cheers for the info im always trying new things 🍻

Thanks mate i appreciate the kind words i dont mind the width although the misses complanes it could be wider but we have gotten use to it and for the money cant go wrong we still love this rtt and theres plenty of videos on mods to make it great 🍻🍻

I have had the fold out and a quicky. Honestly for the price difference get one of these. I founbd the quicky very stuffy with not much Air flow but I am in FNQ. I have just bought one of these yeserday so I cannot comment yet.

@@goldcoastdronevision I ended up going out and buying one. All installed on the Kings Tub rack and gone out for one overnighter so far. Loved it. So did the missus. No leaks - but I think I'll grab the Sikaflex and do those joins anyway - cheers ;)

​@OldFellaDave trust me you wont regret it dave just make sure you use some prep wash to clean the surface where the stikaflex is going as some of mine is starting to come off from not cleaning it good enough ill be going over mine again 🍻

Gday mate try tensioning the rear first hope that helps

I mounted mine so it tensions up nicely with the back of the roof rack. It covers the back door area of a Prado.

@adrianlane2520 awesome mate what a great product hey i hoping they will bring it out wirh the zip access hole so i can enter the rear rrt take a look at the camp boss 270 awning impressive almost identical exept the have light bars on 3 of the arms and they have the rear cut out for the rtt access i recon bushwakka will end up going the same way i hope 🤙

Hey mate I've just brought the same rtt an I've got the new model 270 awning with the d zip for rear access whats it like setting poles up on rtt an having awning out? Cheers.

Gday bud, im still loving it. It started leaking water through the seems on top, but water never got inside only ran inside the frame so i ran a bead of stickerflex hopefully that has worked i found the glue they use to seal it with is shit so if you do buy one i recommend seal it first im about to drop a 12 month review im not giving up on it yet lol for the price you cant go wrong 🍻👍

@@goldcoastdronevision thanks mate. I'm still going to buy one and perhaps use a seam sealer just to be safe. curious how much warranty are kings offering? I didn't ask when I went to the dealer

Hey mate i couldn't tell you how much warranty you get im getting my first real storm as we speak hopefully the sealant worked

I'd still be contacting kings to mention the issues regardless if you are still under the warranty period and be sure to include your posts and emphasise how it would be nice to post that kings came through and rectified the issue...after all it's good for them...for example I want to purchase one but if there's issues with lack of or build issues ie seam sealant not applied properly...im sure they would only want to insure there won't be any issues - it helps them yeah. quick email, I would. hey and thanks for sharing, you're so appreciated mate. 🤜💥🤛

Gday mate i did tie a knot on my bungie cord probably helped a little and with the mattress topper it makes no difference if you take it out the issue im getting with it now is water getting in from on top im about to sticker flex it all to stop the water getting in if that fails i will probably go back to using my swag i love the big daddy swag dont get me wrong i love the kings roof top tent and you get what you pay for im happy to keep patching it up to make it work i will do another review on the latest issues and thanks for watching my vid 🍻

From the roof somwhere i saw a heep of water coming out from one of the corners once i popped up the lid i haven't had a chance to fully inspect it yet

@@goldcoastdronevision I was starting to think of buying one after some good reviews like your video, but that’s not ideal at all… Hopefully it’s not a problem they all get, but considering leaking has been the issue for all these from Kings, perhaps it is

After 12 months of owning it has been great for the money you get what you pay for i recon with a bit extra stickerflex it shouldnt leak i noticed thay are a bit skimp with the sealant the rubbers seem to do a good job but i would say once i have gone over it with the sticker flex and with further inspection if i have fixed the problem i would still thing its an awesome product for the money and to me its a minor problem if you monitor it im yet to do my final review video and i will determine if i write this thing off but for now theres still hope its an easy fix hope that helps

Yes i have mate it handled really well but for peice of mind you can tie it down and even add extra poles you just have to think everything has its limits 😉
