    Rolling with a RX 580 with a Ryzen 2600 (close to 6 years now). Just got a 7800XT with the 7600X, should be able to get all the parts monday. Anyway, huge upgrade for me, I wonder how significant the difference will feel.. No matter what I'm sure I will be content considering what I've been running with. Props to the 580 and 2600 for holding out for soo long, its crazy.

    You know, the fact that people fawn over the RX 7800 XT today shows you just how incredible the RX 6800 XT is because it's about on par with the RX 7800 XT but launched FOUR YEARS AGO for $649!
    The RX 6800 XT really is the Radeon GOAT and I'd even say as good or better than the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti with regard to value and longevity, the two things that made the GTX 1080 Ti so good.
    I truly believe that those 16GB of GDDR6 are going too last longer than the GTX 1080 Ti's 11GB of GDDR5X. Don't get me wrong, the 11GB of the GTX 1080 Ti was MORE than fair at the time but only three years later, the RX 6800 XT and the RTX 3080 were both introduced with Earth-shattering performance but the 3080 was gimped as it had 1GB LESS VRAM than the GTX 1080 Ti while the RX 6800 XT had 5GB MORE than the GTX 1800 Ti.
    The RX 7800 XT could be referred to as "RX 6800 XT v2.0" because that's essentially what it is. Take an RX 6800 XT, add AV1 encoding, make it more efficient, keep exactly the same frame buffer and you have an RX 7800 XT!

I’m probably going to upgrade to a 240hz oled in the next 6 months. My CPU is the 7600x3d. The guy at microcenter said it should perform around 10% better than the 7700 cpu. My two questions are, was there a noticeable difference in graphics and do you think I could consistently hit 240fps when using the 7700xt gpu? I’m currently using a 144 hz monitor and a ps5. • @MMillerPCs
      @MMillerPCs  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In order to get that sort of framerate in warzone, you will have to use frame generation, which makes the 240hz possible. Some people say there is more input delay when you play at those settings.

I would hope so because rn i'm rocking a GTX 1060 6GB and an i5-8600K with 2x16GB 2666Mhz CL14 DDR4 ram and the 980 Pro 1TB mentioned but in a PCIe 3.0x4 slot with an MX500 512GB and a 1TB hard drive (repalced with the 980 Pro, intended for the new pc as a temporary solution) for 1080p 144hz gaming in 2024 and I'm starting to see my hardware in steam recommended and minimum requirements xd

    I never had any problem with Nvidia except their pricing strategy. Glad that AMD brought up some competition by launching 7800 XT forcing Nvidia to cut costs on 4070 and consequently of 4070 super as well. In my country, however, Sapphire Pulse 7800 XT still costs $40 less than the cheapest available 4070 model of Inno3D. And also that MSI 4060 Ti 16 GB still costs equivalent to Sapphire Pulse 7800 XT.
    Not just that, the Sapphire Nitro Plus 7900 XTX costs $200 less than the cheapest model of 4080 Super despite the fact that 7900 XTX totally slays 4080 Super in Rasterization performance by a large margin and also in some RT games at 4K and also that Sapphire Nitro Plus cards are top tier in terms of build quality. I'm glad that AMD is getting better with enhancing its upscaling technology and RT performance day by day. Some competition is very necessary for a healthy market.
    I'm not an Nvidia hater or AMD enthusiast. My point is Nvidia's pricing strategy is something of a difficult pill to swallow.

    Apparently Fortnite runs better or more consistently on AMD graphics, especially on DX12 vhich is more stable than DX11. You also don't get the dips vith driver updates like on Nvidia. Some say DX11 is better for Nvidia but you still get more FPS disparity than on DX12 and arguably stability is more important in a competitive game. Any midrange AMD card will be a huge upgrade for me since I have a 3050 ti 4 GB on my laptop. I might prefer the 7900 GRE for not much more but that's just me.

    The 7800 xt honestly is in a terrible position. The 7900 GRE is 50$ more or you can get it even cheaper if you wait. I saw. A XFX model being discounted all of the way to 430 one time.

    I just picked up one of these over since the price was about 80 bucks cheaper than the 7900 gre hope I don’t end up regretting my decision saving a few bucks although anything better than a 6600 8gb would most likely just make the 6600 even more ancient on flight ✈️ simulator..
    Hopefully it pairs well my am4 upgrade to a 5700x3d
