I think time team should auction off a few spots on future digs. It would raise money for digs and the future of Time Team. I'd buy one from America and donate it to someone deserving.

Thank you for posting the links to the full entire episodes in the description. All that I have to say about this video is that even my dogs are annoyed that editing.

I love how half the incident rooms in time team are likely older then the US.

I’m curious as to why they always have only 3 days

Primarily cost of production to the TV company, but many of the team had 'day jobs' during the week, so it was a weekend production. Also the limited time added pressure to get things done.

Good question. Other than the logistics and costs, I suspect three days allows for faster paced tv and let’s them plan for the set number of episodes per year within the digging season.

3 days cost £100,000 so that was a big factor. It was all funded by channel 4 tv, so most budgets for the show were tight in addition to the reasons others above gave. They were also abit of a joke when they started but quickly became one of the most respected arceological teams in the UK doing things in 3 days it took other teams months and allowing then access to some incredibly important sites as a result.

TT started by taking Archaeologists from their day jobs. The 3 day format was for this reason as well as budget reasons.

I may be wrong, but... I seem to remember that Mick and Tony and Tim had a chat and reckoned that a site could usually be evaluated in 3 days... Then decisions could be taken about whether it would be sensible to spend a fortune on extending the Time Team evaluation to find out more about the site. Other Archaeology units would take up the work if it was deemed a good idea...

No he doesn't. His nails are long because he is a serious guitarist. He plays finger style, uses his nails to pick the strings. He plays classical and the Blues.

He is an actor. The facial fuzz is because of a part he is playing on another show.

    Very misleading.
There was no one called norman in this at all.

The mound of Windsor was ancient millennia before the arrival of the Saxon and Normans who are credited with founding the site. Why are people of this island so interested in only going back in history for a mere 1500 years. Then before this, it's gonna be Roman Roman Roman. Why does time team hate indigenous history that is as classed as pre history. Only the history of foreign invaders and dynasties counts it seems. Nothing can be called indigenous. So bloody sad. Lidar does not work west of the English Welsh border it seems. Why not an ancient indigenous British period...... Who are still alive and kicking by the way, despite everyone and everything. This doesn't count for nothing.
