CHIRAL is a physics term .. so let us see if we can merge the zeitgeist with physics, psychology and what Jung called the symbol of the ideal spiritual man exhibiting a conscious totality ... the swastika ... yes he said that.

It doesn't help (if fact, I'd say it reinforces the problem) when we personalize sicknesses or psychological conditions such as anxiety. When you personalize them, you create a psychological attachment to the very thing you want to be free from. I recognize the absurdity of this with the psychiatrists who were treating me for schizophrenia, and there's a lot of anxiety with schizophrenia. Something inside had me feeling that personalizing the condition would make it worse. So, I'd always be careful not to do so and then to always rephrase it or don't answer when they personalized it for me. For example, "How are your sympoms, .....?"
My response would be, "THE symptoms or THE anxiety (if we were talking about that particular one) is ....., or I'd just keep silent. I never explained to them the reasons for my responses or lack thereof.
The effects of your words and how you choose to describe yourself in relation to the condition shouldn't be understated. Unfortunately, not many professionals understand this aspect of these conditions. I have yet to meet one who understands the power of your words and the bond they create between you and what you're struggling against. Your words can create a closeness or maintain a separation that can keep you struggling longer or have you recover more quickly. This mindset helped me to recover from a treatment resistant form of schizophrenia. Don't underestimate the power of your words in helping to either hold you captive or set you free; to curse your life or bless it.
A good way to overcome anxiety is to become conscious of it when it strikes. Follow it as it moves through your body. Don't sink beneath it. Stand above and speak where it is as it travels. Breathe, and follow it. You'll come to see the only power it has is making you feel afraid. Keeping your breath flowing, your eyes open, smile, and step forward because the anxiety tells you not to. The anxiety will then transform into the excitement that comes from positive adrenaline. Anxiety is simply adrenaline that is influenced by negative thoughts and perceptions. Essentially, these negatives lead the mind instead of the intent of the mind leading the way. Schizophrenia symptoms work in a similar manner.

Brian Greene's explanation of how systems naturally evolve towards disorder, while we psychologically strive for order, creates such an interesting connection between the mental and the physical world. It's amazing to see how concepts from physics can offer deeper insights into emotions like anxiety, and how small obstacles can feel like huge disruptions to our mental 'path length.' As for the circling bit, consider the energy of paranoia, it’s so self-evident, how that spirals-
i’m anxious because I’m paranoid and I’m paranoid because I’m anxious, but the more anxious I feel the more paranoid i become which only leads to more anxiety- anxiety always has a feedback mechanism- usually, in fact, invariably an unconscious one!
Of course, this is a obvious example, but there are far more subtle and less obvious versions of this.
Fundamentally doing anything with that energy just creates more of the feedback pattern - sometimes the solution is to CEASE doing something that you weren’t necessarily even aware you were already doing rather than to DO something different (which is really just doing the same thing again only superficially differently) in this case, expending neurotic energy fruitlessly attempting to resolve neurotic energy.

all SPIRALS are CHIRAL ...that was your first lesson ... lesson #2 ... the shrink Jung would agree with you but do you know why he must agree with you?
Because all SPIRALS are CHIRAL ... in fact they rhyme ... here is what Jung said about the kissing cousin of the 3D CHIRAL SPIRAL the 2D CHIRAL SWASTIKA ... Let me quote Carl Jung taken from his book on Mandalas page 89:
"There is thus a dilemma between four and five. Five is the number assigned to the "natural" man, in so far as he consists of a trunk with five appendages. Four on the other hand, signifies a conscious totality. It describes the ideal "spiritual" man and formulates him as a totality in contrast to the pentad, which describes the corporeal man. *It is significant that the swastika symbolizes the "ideal" man, whereas the five-pointed star symbolizes the material and bodily man. The conflict between four and five corresponds to the conflict between "culture" and "nature".*

There is a branch of Mathematics (also in Electrical Engineering) called "Information Theory". That also uses the term "Entropy". In Information Theory, the term Entropy refers to the content of Information. It can thought of as a measure of "surprise". In both thermodynamics a Information Theory, it is perhaps best conceptualized as a "change" of state. Interestingly, in both thermodynamics and Information Theory, the two definitions of Entropy are essentially measuring the same thing!

Stress is created when a subconscious act has to or is evaluated consciously regardless of its success or failure. I think entropy is a stretch for an analogous here for cause of stress since entropy is the cause for everything, by not considering a free will exercised in a personal level that increase or decrease overall entropy, when that individual action resulted in that individuals rise in their personal entropy. Intuitively, entropy is not the proper abstract for what is at play here.

The entropy of the universe always increases... but the entropy of localised systems, especially biological ones, can decrease as long as it's at the expense of increasing entropy somewhere else to cover the deficit. When you think and make decisions you are burning fuel to provide energy (increasing disorder of the fuel) to organise or strengthen (reduce entropy locally) neural pathways.

*Jordan B Peterson once stated (I can't remember when) that he was looking for a 'biological basis' for the bible. Hmm well entropy is an interestiing association to CHIRALITY* ... Entropy is attached at the hip to the second law of thermodynamics. Time in essence is asymmetric (flows in one direction) which is somewhat analogus to 'chirality'. *Physics, chemistry, and biology all agree that ALL LIFE IS CHIRAL. Chiral represents 'broken symmetry' as opposed to 'perfect symmetry' which is called ACHIRAL.* Thus consider the 'garden of eden' a perfect ACHIRAL paradise. However due to the breaking of the ACHIRAL perfect symmetry due to eating from only the *Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil,* the subsequenct punishment of Adam and Eve because they did not eat from the *Tree of Life* was banishment from perfect Eden and to experience imperfect broken *CHIRAL* life. Now here comes the AHA ... *is it a coincidence that the Crusader Crosses are ACHIRAL and the swastika (the broken cross) is CHIRAL?* No it is not a coincidence, it is a *meaningful coincidence* and clearly evidence of an *intelligent design hinting strongly at an algorithm that sets the world into motion based on 'broken symmety'. Now Itzhak Bentov the Jewish mystic/inventor who meditated* said the following: *"one of the good things about the system is that system wants to teach you about itself"* and he added *"it is interesting to note that if you merge your consciousness with that of the Creator, you discover within him a rotating swastika"* and finally he said *"In other words, swastika stands for both the Creator and the Creation - they are inseparable"* hmm dear Dr. Jordan Peterson I live in Toronto let's do lunch, obviously I have something vital to share based on 20 years of 'CHIRAL swastika' and 'ACHIRAL cross' research that I feel you must entertain due to the crimes committed against humanity in WW2. *In fact Jordan I ran into you twice on the Toronto beaches boardwalk (remember?) twice close to the Leuty 'Life Guard' Station ... Jung would say a most 'meaningful coincidence' sir ... because what is being offered will 'save' souls.* What if? Play along with me Jordan. p.s. one more thing to consider .. Adam's 'symmetry' was broken when a rib was taken and used to make Eve. And Adam and Eve both being less than perfect now were easily tempted by the snake coiled around the tree. Hmm well *ALL SPIRALS are in fact CHIRAL* and I suspect the *'snake'* found in Eden, along with the 'fish' to represent Christ were both chosen due to their *undulating movements to represent a 'wave form'* ... everything can be reduced to 'frequency' 'vibration' .. good vibes Jesus and bad vibes snake

Energy. It seems to me that the usefulness of discussions of entropy (or neg-entropy) really comes into play when you add the variable of energy. As I understand it order (or negative-entropy) is both created and maintained by energy. For example, the heat death of the universe equals maximum entropy and ordering things in your mind, on your book shelf or in a any other physical form like a steel foundry requires energy input... Just a layman's take, please correct me if I am wrong.

The thing that always got me confused about entropy is actually an associated concept that I've never seen talked about by physicists, except on accident or by correlation.
In highschool textbooks, entropy is wrongly defined in a few ways, but the important one to me is that it's defined as the difference between order and disorder. It's wrongly defined as _the difference._
This gets me thinking about, instead of the possibility space of states, the possibility space of actions.
If I'm on one side of a street, and want to get to the other. Both of those states have roughly equal entropy. The action of crossing is an entropy-neutral action.
But compare crossing an empty neighborhood street to crossing a busy highway.
The possibility space of crossing a neighborhood street is much larger than the possibility space of crossing a highway.
There are tons of ways to cross an empty neighborhood street. There are comparatively few ways to cross a busy highway.
I don't think this is defined as entropy. But I think it should be.
So I always thought the concept of entropy was incomplete. And that the fundamental nature of the concept of "entropy" is that it's beyond time, in the sense that an action is the same as a state. Or perhaps the action is more important than the state. Or perhaps the state is nothing more than a weak estimate of the action.
And so dropping a handful of sand and forming a sand castle isn't just the process of changing from a high entropy state to a low entropy state, but more importantly it's an extremely low entropy action. And by that I mean: the possibility space of the action is even smaller than the possibility space of the resultant state.
And I think this is important; not only for addressing the silliness of dropping a handful of sand to produce a sand castle, but also to address the psychological implications. Because psychologically, we don't really care much about the states, we care about the actions.
And the inevitable extension of this is that the complexity of a system can be correlated with the "action-entropy" possibility space of all actions achievable by the system. A rube goldberg machine is a very complex system with minimal action-entropy. A set of utensils is a simple system with a sizeable action-entropy.
A civilization designs to reduce action-entropy of the ways in which the civilization falls apart while increasing action-entropy of the ways in which the civilization advances and grows.
A "sane, intelligent human" intends to reduce action-entropy of the ways in which the human fails, and increase action-entropy of the ways in which the human succeeds.
I'm half figuring out what I'm thinking as I'm typing.
If I think of entropy this way, I think I can apply it to an even wider variety of things. The action-entropy of a language, for example, should correlate directly with the IQ potential of the language, and is an extremely useful concept to me. The state-entropy of the language should be more indirectly correlated, and isn't actually a useful concept to me.
This way of thinking about entropy, that I'm figuring out right now, is helping me solve some complex problems.

I don't think it's a physical possibility on earth for a sandcastle to form from a pile of dry sand if dropped from a bucket all at once, not just unlikely, but impossible. Just as the air won't chaotically distribute itself in a ball without help. It seems like natural tendencies to distribute evenly (ironically order, depending on your viewpoint) is being mistaken for a return to chaos. One might say the ball of air is disorder, relative to the even distribution it naturally returns to.
It respects the idea of conservation of energy; without an outside force, the air will disburse as even as it can given the moment and location it was just in, and continually seek a better one, like water following the path of least resistance. It's true on a molecular level. So why do we refer to entropy like it's this force or tendency of chaos?
Sort of like how we mistakenly refer to time as a force, as if it's in the same ballpark as gravity, which it isn't. Time correlates with change, but let's not assume it causes change, because that would be like believing math dictates reality, rather than the other way around.
The reason a coins previous flips aren't thought to affect the next flip is because reality, through the lens of probability as we currently understand it, is random. NOT because reality has a duty or even necessarily a tendency to be random, and certainly not because our math says so. We can't assume that.
When we observe an outcome and sufficiently investigate it, we are never surprised. For this reason, "random" and "chaos" are relative to the point where I feel the current state of the discussion around entropy might be forming a negative axiom in scientific thought sort of like the false axiom that can be forned when one first learns about the gambler's bias.

Anytime we see densely packed information, order, and design, we know it came from a mind. The argument of the atheist is that the universe came about in the same way the sand was dropped into a sandcastle. While technically possible, it's highly improbable. To argue that the densely packed information in DNA came about by chance, rather than a mind that coded it, while technically possible, is highly improbable.
You may say well, "given enough TIME" anything is possible. (disregarding that this is a time of the gaps argument) Time IS YOUR ENEMY. Entropy shows time degrades living things. Not only that, the universe itself has a finite amount of time since the beginning... ~14 billion years!
It takes more faith to be an atheist than a theist. You believe in a bigger miracle that the sandcastle came about by chance rather than a mind created it!

IF IT GOES FROM A DISORDERED TO AN ORDERED STATE AS A SAND CASTLE, WHY WOULD THAT NOT PROPORTIONATE TO SOME FORM OF BACKWARDS TIME?
LIKE A HORSE RUNNING BACKWARDS OR A BUSINESS MAN WITH A BROLLY AND A BOWLER HAT GOING BACK, AS SOME FORM OF STATIS5ICAL OBSERVATION.

Peterson: thermodynamics tell us that the world is superdeterministic and that everything we do, we do to dissipate energy and find eternal rest, but that us saying/hearing "world is superdeterministic" without supporting "framework" triggers entropic cascades in neural networks that we experience as anxiety.
Green: in this corner we have gas.

The guest doesn't know what he's talking about. There's always a loss.
If a volcano blows its top and erupts for hours and leaves many layers with the larger landing first, repeat for every explosion 💥. The layers are not order out of chaos. They're prescribed by gravity. Most of the energy was lost to friction in the form of aerodynamic drag and again when it hit the ground. The larger pieces hit the ground harder and faster because of a higher terminal velocity due to a lower surface area to weight ratio, compacting what is below. Smaller particles fall slower having a higher surface area to weight ratio. Less weight to overcome air drag. In the example given all the energy will become heat through friction.

but it's sacrilegious and a little offensive too. I both appreciate it and cringe when I see it. I'm speaking from the perspective of a formerly liberal but now conservative agnostic gay man formerly from a Baptist upbringing who converted to Orthodox Christianity for a while.

Much anxiety comes from guilt and shame which is really much about to do with stress, coortisol and fear coming from too much coffee, smoking, alchohol, procrastinstion, No sex, No independency or testosteron driven boy in these men anymore as they half given Up. Because of anxiety. It kills the health because IT leads to life style deseases and mental health problems. No job? Who wants to hire someone with only adult experience in being a psykiatric patient? Lol. He may be overcompetent but this dudes papers and journals just doesnt add Up?? Life is unfair.

Entropy is probably one of the most poorly taught concepts in chemistry and physics.
Entropy is not disorder. Entropy is a measure of the number of microstates available to a system.
