  • After 4 1/2 years and 63k miles I traded my Indian Roadmaster for another motorcycle. There will be things I will miss about my Indian and there will be things I like better about the bike I just purchased.

I don't blame you, Marty. I'm a Harley girl, but I do love my Indians, too. I love the new Road Glide in the Sharkfin blue. Schon is a Harley guy, too. Loves his 2012 Street Glide, but while we were at IBW last year, he bought a new Challenger. He said it was the best chassis he's ever rode, but he likes that Street Glide look, so he's looking at a Chieftain. I said, well, since I've always wanted a RG, I'd take his Challenger and paint it. But I also like Indian's new color this year, too. The Spirit Smoke Blue that I call Blurple. Mind you, we don't trade, we just collect. When he gets his Chieftain, we'll have 5, 3 Indians and 2 Harleys. Maybe we need one more to even it up.

It I had room , I would have bought Harley and kept my Indian. When bought my first Indian I kept my Harley. Maybe one day I will have both again.

nice and good review. and a beautiful journey you have taken to arrive at this choice. I exchanged my Indian Superchief for the Streetglide 2024 total black. Now I see in your review that you have replaced the windshield. What size did you put on it? The 8 or 10 inch screen? thanks in advance for your answer

I went with the 10 inch windshield. Much better wind protection. I can now hear the radio at highway speed. I am 6ft 1in tall. If I was shorter I would have needed the 8in windshield. There is some distortion at the curved section of the shield.

Congrats on the new ride. I can’t say I’m surprised I figured you would pull the trigger soon. Can’t wait to see it in person.

Great choice bro. The Roadmaster is a genuinely beautiful bike. Must have been a sweet ride. But no one can blame you for giving the 24 steet glide a shot. God bless you and stay safe.

After testing both of 2 worlds...
Road Glide 2024 3 hours riding
    Indian & Pursuit 2024....6 hours
Indian is a better bike from stock.
With Harley you have to upgrade lot of things....and to buy from other companies all those weak parts from that motor..
    Problematic compensators...etc
