My grandma lived in a 100 year old home with an outhouse. It had a tin roof and a magnolia tree outside. When the windows were up, the smell of magnolia wafted in. May she RIP. Thank you, Stardust. This woman is so thankful to be reminded!

I lived in South Baltimore during the 30's and 40's. We lived I a small row house and my bedroom was the "middle room" upstairs. we had a tin roof and I real the beautiful sound of the rain as it fell on the roof. What a soothing and comforting hypnotic noise!!!

This is relaxing and makes me want to go for a swim, when we were young and silly, a good swim in the rain was nice
Im just old and silly now
I'm in my manic phase of bipolar - this means maybe an hour of sleep a night for weeks until my brain goes back into depressive (not really depressed, just not a hyper squirrel at a rave) Your videos and sounds are so soothing! I can watch the video and it really does slow my mind to the point I can concentrate on the sounds. Then the two together help me at least fall asleep for a bit, and then I can simply let my body and brain relax enough to keep going when I have so much to do.
It took me a while to actually hear the birds, I was on the third loop of this and finally soothed enough I could hold still and focus on it.
I think I can become addicted to these, but that's not a bad thing!
something that surprises most people is that as a narcoleptic I too have a difficult time sleeping. or in my case, staying asleep. I seldom sleep more than 2 hours at a time. but these help me stay in bed and get back to sleep with minimal interruption. then there are the times I go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 10am, my alarm clock screaming. this kind of balances me out. one of many techniques actually, but the meditative qualities help.

I absolutely love this Video. Growing up in the Caribbean island of Trinidad, I always would enjoy the rain on the tin roof at night when falling asleep. Since moving to the US , I have miss that sound. This brings back sooo many memories. Thank u soooo much.

Honestly I have to sleep with it on a super low setting because it's not as light rain as I thought it would be, BUT regardless it does the job it relaxes me and I get to sleep, I have extreme anxiety depression and panic attacks and when I can't sleep I have to sleep completely backwards in my bed with a fan on my face to get comfy but input this on my tv and it's relaxing, I just got my dad who has extre anxiety and can't sleep, to listen to this stuff and he said it's really helped him especially since he started a graveyard shift and has to sleep when he gets home in the late morning

I love this video because one cannot detect a loop sound! The rain falling lightly & the birds in the background almost lulled me back to sleep upon waking because I found this one after waking from an airplane cabin noise video. This one IS the one I need to fall asleep to!!! It sounds AND looks just like south Louisiana where I grew up. I guess England has the same kind of overwhelming rainy days as my old home. (I moved away to the NW USA 12 yrs ago, so I guess I didn’t realize how much I missed the rain sounds!!!)

This is my favorite one. It helps me to fall and stay asleep. I love it! It's the ONLY Rain On A Tin Roof video on TH-cam that can. Except it's not nearly long enough. I wake up everytime this video stops, especially when it's on autoplay and changes to some other random rain on tin roof video..can you please make a longer one exactly like this one?
