I am from Hyderabad. I watched this movie when I was 9 yrs old, from that day I became a fan of Ilayaraja sir. Used to request my uncles from Chennai to give their walkman to listen to songs of Mounaragam though I don't know Tamil. I watched this movie more than 25 times, all BGM tunes are in my mobile. Kudos to Ilayaraja sir, this music brings my 80s days and gives me happiness.

The entire movie's screenplay can be heard in the title music. Starts with happy go lucky college girl, then getting married to a very kind hearted person and then reveals the playful Karthik introduction and then slowly getting to accept the person whom she married and then how they unite. Very hard to find a word to describe our one and only Raja. He is ultimate, hatsoff.

But at the end again we return to our same home and feel that comfort. That comfort is maestro ilayaraja sir. Even I'm a fan of sir ilayaraja from my 12years after watching this mouna raagam only because of Mr chandramouli (when karthik sir calls revathy mam's father in a restaurant). That craze made me an ilayaraja sir fan. Now I'm 28.

'Ilaiyaraja music is so powerful that it never shades away. After long years when I show this music to my son, he is surprised and connects to the music instantly. I think that's why lots of directors moved away from Ilaiyaraja since his music was dominating everybody , including the movie :) Really god of Music.

When i was 5 thought AR rahman sir was doing well with his roja and other movies on oneside.. It was all Ilayaraja sir songs running in tea kadai radios, Tvs and everywhere.. I couldnt connect with words then but the music somehow stuck.. so ippo i hear all the music director songs for fun and time pass but when i want to hear music without any harsh noise, when i want to sleep when i want to escape reality... its ilayaraja sir.. Maybe you can dream with AR sir but ilayaraja sir only can give the peace of mind.
