Can I get into xlri jam or even delhi with a 8/6/hopefully 8, if I kill in xat next year ? Will the 12 marks hinder my chances ? I'm a non engineer general caste
Not at all. XLRI focuses on both the aspects: XAT performance and student's overall profile (achievements, acads, personality, values) so just forget these scores for a bit and do decently well in XAT (and the subsequent GDPI process) and you can most certainly get in !
One of the most inspiring mentors I got at XL , true that the faculty r among the best in the country.... life at xl is in itself a big motivation for xat. All the best to the aspirants !!

@@nbrahmareddy7690 XL is an amazing college for both BM and HR aspirants. You should seriously give XAT along with CAT and if you manage to score decently well, just kill in the GDPI process and you'll definitely get inside (no matter how bad your acads, past achievements or CAT scores are)
The process is same
1. Practice, mocks , review ur mistakes and work on it- repeat
2. read good books to improve english, comprehension skills, understanding and critical thinking
3. improve ur communication skills. Its a process and will take atleast a few months

@@amishachawla6165 they can ask you about low scores during the interview but it would not be a problem if you can justify
