I cannot get enough of them! I yearn for these as soon as they're done blooming!
Although I planned to have about 400 plants this year- a couple trays didnt make it (I dont even wanna talk about it! 😒)
Also, I will be forever grateful for seeing these on Nicole @flowerhillfarmny 's channel!

They look great. Did your home grown seed come true to color? Mine did, I was wondering if you had the same results.
I actually didn't even pay attention! 🤣 I'm about to go look for that label to see if those have bloomed yet!

Yes they did! I looked at some video footage from when they were in bloom, & they were all the same shade of pink! & as far as I could tell, were all double like they originally were! (The vodeo wasnt super close up, it was one of my videos about lisianthus, I think it was my "How to harvest lisianthus" but yea, None of them looked like they reverted back to single or crossed with anything to cause a different color! 👏 I began suffering a lot of symptoms from some health issues I have last season, so I didn't film as many videos I would have liked to, but going the issue is under control now, & hoping to film much more content on them & other flowers & veggies this coming season!
Did any of your collected seed raised lisianthus make it to bloom?
Sorry, I had some health conditions really hit me hard this season, so I didn't film nearly the amount of things I wanted to. But I did get a little footage of them blooming, & I am planning to film an update about the saved seeds, though! But I will go ahead and tell you that they did bloom! The colors were a little off. For example, for the Arena pink- some of them were a little lighter pink, but some were closer to their original pink color. I dont know if thos was due to them cross pollinating, or the weather, or something, though, so I'm excited to do some more experimenting! So far though, I'd definitely say if you have the time & space, it's worth it to let them form their seed pods & save the seeds necause you get a TON, in just one little pod! Even if you only let one of each go to seed...

I've tried to film a few things to post online but it's hard to keep up with everything especially when it's plants over an entire season lol.
That's awesome! You always hear about not collecting hybrid plant seeds because it probably won't be the same. I was imagining they'd go back to some really basic lisianthus.
I did collect some! I bought a small packet from Hirts of Arena Red, I think it was, and they turned out great. I have a few I'm trying to overwinter, but I did collect seeds as well. Lol and yeah I was amazed at all the seeds in those pods.
I sprinkled some in random places and saved a few. Since I only had the one variety/color it'll be interesting to see how much variation there is.
You've given me more confidence to try and grow maybe a full tray versus just a couple plants.
@Shawn G I was afraid they would too! But oddly enough- I actually had some Echo Lavender & Echo Pink from brand new seeds come out to be single Lisianthus!?! Why, I dont know, but I actually thought they were beautiful! The way they looked when completely opened, with their dark centers... lived it! So I'll absolutely be saving more seeds to save money on lisianthus, b/c even if they come out single, they're beautiful! (But I will also purchase some to ensure I have the large, double blooms 😁)
Yes, it is very time-consuming to do videos where you have clips that span over a length of time! Even with the best efforts of keeping clips organized...
