  • The Shelly Fire was less than a mile from the house. Walmart didn't hesitate to give me time off to take care of my family during evacuation #shellyfire #trucking #truckdriver #trucker #dayinthelife

Mannnn oh man, I can’t tell you how disappointed I am to not be apart of a working environment like Walmart. I got in an accident (not my fault of course, but a dot recordable nonetheless)
at 35 months of driving. Walmart told me I had to wait 10 years before I could reapply

I’m glad that you and your family are okay.
I completed onboarding yesterday in Garland, TX and I’ll be working out of Cleburne 6864. This gives me comfort, knowing that if I need to take time off, I can do it.

Good news! Safe family and home! Now get back to work old man! 😂😂 Really though, WM is pretty good so far. Started in Jan, already took a paid week off last month, and got another coming in Oct. By then I should be up to 450ish on adp. Love the channel, wish I had found yours before I applied, would have loved for the extra $$ to have gone your way. Stay safe, and hope to see you at one of the DC's some day. 22-0583.

6:50 I think age and honesty and been a good loyal employee helps alot to get time off easily and given it's a emergency and managers would know about it also.
Some employees who would be the opposite if they kept trying to take random time off might not last that long.
AS for saying people could use your name as for a reference to try get a job there.
I would maybe be a little careful crazy fools and lazy nutters don't use your name and drag it in the mud and make you look bad.
Much better to give people you know a reference for a job.

@@johnnyo7621 yeah I thought the same thing but we were given cards to hand out at the truck stop so I really don't see much difference walking up to a stranger at a truck stop or they see me on here talking. Although I do hear you It does make you wonder who's getting hired lol

@@20plustrucking Definitely too many idiots now days in the world mate. Come and get into jobs and make a mess of them and give all the good decent guys a bad name.
      It's not good at all
I guess It don't help also when companies hire cheap nasty rubbish fools to do a real persons work.
They end up been to much of a risk and liability. Companies reallly need to stop doing it.
It's a really worry now days
      Even here in Australia.
