Another actor that I loved as a kid! I sat and watched the Witch Mountain trilogy about a year and a half ago, just to revisit my childhood favorites. It brought back a lot of memories from that time, I too was 9 in '75. I'm really looking forward to reading Ikes book when it comes out, I love hearing all the behind the scene stuff! Actors anonymous is a great idea too. 😂 Thanks again for another knock out video Patrick! Can't wait for the next one.
What an awesome interview. My brother, Tom McGrath, directed all of the Madagascar movies (among others) and it turns out Ike was even a part of those. It’s amazing and surprising where life leads you. My brother and I grew up loving Escape from Witch Mountain and The Fantastic Journey. As a kid, Ike was a fine actor and more than held his own among the likes of legends like Eddie Albert and Roddy McDowell Ike and Patrick, you are both beloved by generations of fans. Thanks for the great memories and wonderful stories.
I was a 70s kid and Ike seemed to be in literally everything for a time. I must admit I haven't given him a passing thought in about 45 years. How interesting to hear his story now. I bet the book is gonna be a good read.
Sounds like Timothy Hutton was a rival of Ike's (Taps and Ordinary People). Ike was certainly a fixture in my childhood. His appearance in Wrath of Khan was so memorable. A small part, but pivotal. Great to see him.
Great interview and it's nice to hear the book is on the way. He announced it a long time ago. I was starting to think he changed his mind. Devil Dog: Hound Of Hell is amazing. I wish you had let him talk about it more as he attempted to do. But that's some tasty cheese right there!
It's funny you'd interview Ike. I saw him about a month ago on TV & thought to myself, "What ever happened to him" as I recall seeing hime everywhere in the 70's & 80's. I had to Google him! lol. Good interview . Thanks for sharing! Question -- you & Ike talk about being told you need to do commercials so you can have money for college. Did either one of you ever use that money & actually attend college??

One of my first crushes. I wanted Ike as my boyfriend and I wanted Kim’s hair.
Hi Patrick, can you please give us a reminder when Ike's book is published? Thanks. 😊
I remember watching both Cadet Don and another legendary local kids show called KiTiRiK, the lady in a cat suit on a swing.
PLEASE do an "Actors Anonymous" meeting as a spin-off! 🙏
I remember him from Chips, he single handedly gave all us BB gun owners a bad name )
Hey cousin. Been long long time since you been back to Texas. Ever make it back and want to experience ranch life look us up.
I think i entered to win one of Ike’s drawings when i was a kid .. i didn’t win tho 😢😂😂
