This feeling of self-loathing made it impossible for him to believe he wouldn't matter, his siblings he had to raise were already so mature and resilient despite the adversities. They didn't need him. And it got so bad that he pushed away and hurt his best friend/partial lover.

"RUN AWAY WITH ME!" She screamed, streams running down her cheeks while she desperately held her lover's hand. "I CAN'T! YOU'RE A BARD AND I'M THE HEIR TO THE THRONE!" shouted the taller woman while trying to wriggle her way out of the redhead's grasp. "Therefore I command you to let me go and don't reach for me ever again. You're... nothing but a jester who's good in bed and can play a few songs" Hearing these words, the half human let go the soft and well kept hand of the noble elf and wiped away her tears. A strong expression formed on the redhead's face, yet she had a rather bittersweet smile: "Well...good luck, babe" Years passed and the two women never heard of each other. The elf went on with her duty; many men courted her and eventually she found a husband, yet she couldn't stop thinking about her bard. No amount of words can describe how much she missed her smile, her voice, the melodies she would play just for her, her strong arms and how their bodies were perfectly made to hold each other. She regretted every breath and word she said when she brutally dumped her only flame. All of this was driving the noblewoman crazy. So crazy that she went out of her way just to hear her lover sing one more time. There she was, in a crappy tavern, singing and playing the drums. A new melody reached the elf's pointy ears, something she never heard before in the bard's usual repertoire. The melody was rather happy but her voice thundered with rage and despair. The lyrics of the song's bridge reached the queen's heart:
You’d have to discontinue the rotation of the Earth to end thine homosexual tendencies
By all that is good in heaven! Thine scripture truly has brought mine self joyous feelings. in other words OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS

"Someone will remember us I say even in another time" - Sappho
After the House of the Dragon finale this is so Rhaenicent coded
Funny how this song would be a pretty cool plot on a medieval themed story
God dang it why does this version make me cry as well?
Thou doth awaken beside thy lord in the dead of night, with thy cranium in thou hands; thou nought else but his betrothed.
this gives me way more joy than it has any right to (your honour I need it on spotify)
"You can kiss a hundred lords at the tavern."
Ye can kiss a thousand boys in bards
“Good Tidings Beloved”
ye lesbos, we gather for Lady Roan
Lady Chappell of Roan truly finished thy plate and left no trace of divine sustenance!
Finally. Rhaenicent.
Seeing this after the season 2 finale hits different 💔
“You’d have to stop the Wyrm just to stop the feeling”
"RUN AWAY WITH ME!" She screamed, streams running down her cheeks while she desperately held her lover's hand.
"I CAN'T! YOU'RE A BARD AND I'M THE HEIR TO THE THRONE!" shouted the taller woman while trying to wriggle her way out of the redhead's grasp. "Therefore I command you to let me go and don't reach for me ever again. You're... nothing but a jester who's good in bed and can play a few songs"
Hearing these words, the half human let go the soft and well kept hand of the noble elf and wiped away her tears. A strong expression formed on the redhead's face, yet she had a rather bittersweet smile: "Well...good luck, babe"
Years passed and the two women never heard of each other.
I was there when she was cooking🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Devoured
