    The dual battery is amazing because it allows you to replace one battery without shutting down the device

    I own one of these...7212, the 2nd gen. It's a tank. The glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate (Lexan) is practically unbreakable. It's also fairly light in weight. I was surprised. I believe it's the same material used to make bullet-proof window at bank or polymer gun frame. Anyway, it's tough. Enough said.

    Perfect to use if you are a photographer and moving around a lot and using Lightroom or Photoshop. Fit really nice in any backpack and battery that will last for hours and easy to swap to a new one 😊👍👍

    With the RS 232 port it can control things like power supplies, volt meters, or talk to industrial devices.

      I use it to connect to PLCs and programming automation equipment, you need a special cable, is not a regular RS-232 but it does the same.

    I love mine! I would like to add that it has a USB-C port so with an adapter ($20) you can connect to an HDMI cable, you can add USB ports, ethernet, etc.

    The camera is not good, it is awesome... And it is not usual to see a PC having such a nice quality on its recorded videos and pictures.

    I feel that the review and a lot of the comments miss the point of this.
    The Surface devices are not competition for this (stated in the screen brightness test section, comparing Nits) and as for the price, weight, big bezels etc, it is a specialist bit of gear. If you dont need it, you dont buy it. Simple as that. It is not in the running with Surface tablets, iPads etc.
    Try using one of those where I use my Dell and see how far it gets you. I have destroyed two of the older brother to this, the 7212. But I would have killed 30 Surface Pro's during the same job.

      Even with a UAG protector my pro 4 would never be able to be treated like the 7220 can be. I plan to get a 7220 very soon to replace my Pro 4.

    Have the device... Both actually. The 12 and 20. The display can be overclocked to 90 hertz on the 20. The n trig pen could be better. Significantly more lag than on the wacom emr devices, let alone an ipad. Speakers are nice but they face backwards so thats kinda annoying. All other aspects, perfect.

    This machine is really for the outdoor person who needs it to use on a construction type job. I think the built in camera is quite good. Images are clear and smooth. Is this machine easy to open to upgrade the memory and storage devices? Great review

    Impressive battery, but I hate the big bezels of the screen, adding to the bulky size and heavy weight.
    This is as you said, a tablet for outside active users only.

    Hello blogger Andrew Marc David, is the Dell Latitude 7220, how much internal memory or ROM does it have?
    When will it be available in the Philippines? Can a OTG USB type c or mini USB be played in that device with movies in the OTG USB? Thanks
    God be with you and bless you as well! 😊🇵🇭🙌🙏

    Your sales technique on this tablet was good, but failed to demonstrate the ruggedness out in the field, I'm sure dell would have allowed you to demonstrate a drop test and weather resistance.

    Real military grade. You know this is not for the average consumer, when you have RS-232 but not HDMI output.

      But you can connect to HDMI via either a single dongle or the 6 port USB-C Mobile Adapter DA300 that has an HDMI port on it.#iworkfordell

    Hi. I am an artist. Can I ask you one question? Does 7220EX also support the N trig stylus with pressure sensitivity as well? And what exact pen you are using on this 7220 to get pressure sensitivity?

    • @julianweiser9985
      @julianweiser9985 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay... never buy a tablet with n trig digitizer for artist work. Better get something with wacom emr or from apple.

    For someone working in oilfield, this is really handy. Is there any difference between this model and 7220EX model?

    • @dmplourde17
      @dmplourde17 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There are some differences. The ATEX or Latitude 7220EX version is certified to the EU ATEX standards for Zone 2 and Zone 22. The Latitude Rugged Extreme 7220 is UL913 Class 1 Div 2 certified. You should note the ATEX version is also IECEx certified. Because of the protective covers making it ATEX certified you cannot can only connect a keyboard to it via USB or USB-C port with that cover open. There are some other differences that you can check out by visiting delltechnologies.com/rugged and you can download the spec sheet for either there.Disclaimer - #Iworkfordell
