Volkswagen Tiguan 5N folding mirrors activation

- Activation of comfort closing and opening for side mirrors in Volkswagen #Tiguan MK1 (5N). By pressing and holding LOCK button on the remote, your side mirrors will fold. When you want them to retract, you can set it to do is when you open the door or when you turn the ignition on.
This modification requires diagnostic interface live OBDeleven, VCDS, or any other that can perform #coding and adaptation changes in VAG cars. Below you will find information of what changes you need to perform in order to enable folding mirrors in your car.
Module: 42 (Driver door electronics)
Coding → Long Coding → Byte: 0 → Bit: 4 → enabled
Coding → Long Coding → Byte: 0 → Bit: 5 → enabled
Module: 52 (Passenger door electronics)
Coding → Long Coding → Byte: 0 → Bit: 4 → enabled
Coding → Long Coding → Byte: 0 → Bit: 5 → enabled
Module: 42 (Driver door electronics)
Security Access → Code: 04354
Adaptation → Channel: System_Parameter_0 (Byte 08) →
Set to 95 for retract mirrors with ignition on
Set to 99 for retract mirrors with door open.

Hi guys. Thanks for sharing useful info. But i won't ask, what means System_Parameter_0 (Byte 08) ? I can see a list of functions and there is only this ystem_Parameter_0..1..2.3 etc, without bits. Also, i would like to ask, how to set up the default function Speed, on my MFI display. I can see every my start, Bluetooth connection. I have a multifunctional steering wheel with a button. Thanks
I have done this on mine works great but only issue I have is it takes 10 to 15 seconds after inserting key for the mirrors to unfold
My coding didn't work, obdeleven said you must have mirrors with memory function?

Is every vw tiguan 5n (1.4tsi 2014) all the same? Or some of the tiguan does not have a folding mirror?

Yes, you can fold the mirrors if engine is working and the speed is below 12mph (20km/h). All you need to do is rotate the mirror adjustment knob to the fold position.

Hi there! I'v tried with the provided code (04354) but it didn't work on my friend's Tiguan. it's a model 2011 Tsi 2.0 (gas), do you have any other codes that i could try to access module 42? thx in advance!

If you are talking about removing the video-in-motion lock, then yes, you can enable video while driving. If you have MMI 3G it's possible.
I wanted to activated the tv őr DVD replay i guess i dont have tv tuner or i havent activated ín Green menü i have activated tv option but no change
TV requires TV tuner to be installed in the car + antenna + some fiberoptic connection.

Most likely you would have to use software like ELMconfig to do it.

No, you need power folding mirrors to enable remote folding.
I have an MK6 Golf North America. I retrofitted auto fold mirrors and replaced the door module. But I can activate the auto fold via the key. I was told that I have to have a certain module and it only can be done by VCP. I tried my VCDS and I couldn’t code it. Any idea. Thanks.
