Then you haven't met most South Africans. We're actually less forgiving towards white people. I can promise you this, if a white man punches a black South African rather than a black foreigner punches a black South African. The black foreigner case we'll end between us, while the white man case will end in court.
We're more friendly towards black foreigners than we are with white people. However that doesn't mean we're gonna tolerate any criminal elements from black foreigners, and that's where the misunderstanding comes in.
We will not tolerate foreign criminal elements just to get on the good graces of the rest Africa.
Why should we burn ourselves just to make others warm?.

She is 100% right. Self hate is real!!!
We as black people prefer to hate ourselves than to hate anyone else. We don't hold others accountable to the same degree as we hold ourselves, and this is a global phenomenon, not just an African one.
The sad thing is that everyone else looks at us as one and the same, so when one of us does anything wrong they look at us as a group as being guilty, yet whenever anyone from their races do anything the focus is kept on the individual.
We need to relearn how to love ourselves and to unite as a people globally.

But it takes an idiot to see that the world is against you, that the world feeds off of the divisions between you and your brother and looks at you both as being weak, and instead of trying to forgive your brother, so that you can reunite as a unified front (now I didn't say forget what he did) and pray that hes learnt from his mistake, with the aim to move forward with the same understanding that we all expect when we do things at some point that are less than exemplary.
Instead as a race we prefer to focus on the errors of our brothers and forget about our own faults, even to the point where we are willing forgive an outsider again and again just because they came to us with smiling faces.
We all have a choice in life either accept that no one is perfect (including ourselves), and forgive others for their indiscretions, or walk around feeling sorry for ourselves, carrying around the burden of what someone else did years before, things that they might not even remember, refusing to understand that we are the one who is continuing to hurt ourselves, by not being willing to let go. I say forgive, move forward and work together to build a stronger and more unified race.

So true. Black People have to accept 2 things. 1) We don't need anyone else and should only care about each other never worry about or try to assimilate into others culture. 2) Life for Black People isn't about having fun and being happy. It is about making sure others know not to mess with us. We don't like to be evil like other groups do. So we have to stay proactive in defense of ourselves. Alot of this wouldn't happen if we moved in the right way and always looked out for each other. Because pale faces only attack the weak or vulnerable.

    1. Touching a person of European descent will get you in trouble, while touching a person of African descent won't get you a slap on the wrist.
    2. When frustrated, people will attack who they have access to and who they won't get in trouble for hurting as a form of 'release'.
    3. There's a lot of healing that needs to be done by black South Africans. It's only been 30 years since apartheid and the people who benefited from it are still in real power.

Why do we want South Africans to forgive us for something we didn't do?
Crime is indeed a bad thing.
There are law enforcement institutions that must do their work in order to punish criminals.
Do South Africans know how many white people live in Cape Town without papers?
Zimbabwean and Nigerian criminals do not do this alone, South African law enforcement knows something about these crimes.
The hypocrisy of South Africans is too great.
I don’t want forgiveness from South Africans because I didn’t do anything wrong.
South Africans don't love us, period.

We must remember the conditioning of colonialism and apartheid was aimed at self hate. This was done by demonstrating that black lives were cheap and dispensable, it's now deeply engrained and deserves out utmost attention. Secondly, the lack of knowledge of self adds to self hate and love for white people. Most Black folk don't know that Afrikans civilized the world and developed the disciplines and systems behind the technologies we enjoy today. This leads to them thinking that Europeans came to improve our state when in actual fact, it's the opposite. Throughout the colonial era, they benefited from our knowledge and skills to develop the western world, not just the labor. "Know Thyself"

White in Africa land given free during apartheid taken and later sold winner seller should give back at least 1/3 of the land. Given free to those that land was taken.

They can take it back if they want too. Black South Africans do outnumber the YT's significantly. If they take it back the YT's ain't going to do squat.

We as black people have been conditioned to hate each other. 😢

This young lady gives me hope. She is asking the right questions as a South African. Questions I have put forward to SAns on social media with no real answer just deflections even though I know the answers but want to see if SAns do. When they have the answers is when true liberation begins, assuming they want that.

What's happening in our schools that we are not teaching South African History? It's easy to forgive white people because, as part of our post-democracy transition, we went through a whole decade of nation-building initiated through the Truth & Reconciliation Commission. To this day, the TRC process is the most studied court-like restorative justice body assembled in Africa. The 16 African countries in conflict today would be wise to actually learn from us instead of fighting the ethnic civil wars that displace many throughout the continent. We actually assisted Rwanda with their National Unity and Reconciliation Commission in 1999, and look how well they're doing. As Mandela said, "Forgive but never forget". On the last note, Africans - specifically economic migrants, refugees and asylum seekers coming to our country to spew words of division to South Africans, will find themselves further marginalised. Our forefathers built this country through peaceful resistance, settlement and negotiation, which is why it is great today and attracts people from all walks of life. We have never shied away from advocating for ourselves, and building an inclusive country is a continuous process.

SAns are a very warm and welcoming people but our kindness is taken for weakness, and we don't hate Zimbabweans, Nigerian or other foreign nationals whether black or white, all we are demanding is that they must follow the laws of this country and do right to its people. If u come into SA do it the right way, u wanna do business in SA do it the right way follow the laws etc.

Let's not forget the champion of conditioning, religion. It's hard for alot of black folk to accept this but, if the Chosen people of God are white, his son is white, therefore God is white to most religious folk. You can barely blame them for believing this, with all the media coverage white Jesus gets from western media. If God is white to you, then white is right to you.

When the French/Dutch Afrikaners came to the South African peninsula, there was no local inhabitants. They claimed empty territories. The Zulu were only encountered once the British (who drove out the Afrikaners) pushed northwards and eventually met. The reality is, is that the British/Afrikaners created the modern African government originally but since then, African leaders have mismanaged and sold out to China.

South Africans should not let a city like Orania exist, it is a shame for their fight against apartheid. It's really pathetic and you have to see them when it comes to going to fight for the Palestinians (whom I support, even I know that the Arabs despise us) but they remain silent while there is a city almost banned in black in South Africa.
