Im always a skeptical of trying somethings on TH-cam for fear I'm going to ruin something. That being said, I have the exact same model and had the same problem. I just did this 5 minutes ago, following his instructions exactly and to my amazement this worked like a charm. Flowing smooth now and stronger than it has for a while now. I ran 2 plain cups of water after to make sure the loosened grounds were pushed through and wouldn't get in my cup. Thank you so much for posting this, I was about to attempt to replace the pump and if messed up, throw away. I'm glad I tried this method first. Saved me lots if money.
So wish I had thought to look on youtube sooner. I bought a new Keurig and thought maybe I can keep the old one as a backup. Looked this up and tried it. It works GREAT NOW! Thanks for sharing!!

thanks....7 years later, the info is still valuable. Wasn't aware of the rubber grommet. I have single cup Keuring. Used a rubber edged dental flosser and that helped to remove a few stray grounds and then ran a cup through it w/o the cup and was back in business. cheers

Worked for me too! Thanks! I was running cleaner through it this morning and it stopped. It was giving me the Descale message. But I was in the middle of rescaling! Evidently some debris broke loose? Anyway, this worked great!
Great vid !! also , depending what kind of maker you have , there is a needle( below in in a removal cup assembly , it might have a little rubber sleeve around it be careful it slides off from the top of the needle ) i found a peace of debris in it and cleared it with a paper clip , now i get a full cup of coffee , this is after i tried meany other fixes first , it was probably the most easy one i tried , ( KISS !!!! ) KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID !!! i did not follow my own advise
This approach worked for me for years but eventually it failed. I was about to try taking the unit apart when I learned there was a very simple way to fix the problem that didn't involve any tools. Merely take the unit to a gas station and blow compressed air into the water intake. You may need to cover the overflow valve. It worked like a charm for me and now I get a full flow of water.
i got the same exact Keurig but with mine the problem was the bottom plunger and i did the same exact thing to the bottom plunger and it worked fine,if you get a defecto k cup the grinds go through the bottom and clog it so you dont get the flow so i used the paper clip and then i used an air blaster can to blow it out an then it worked like new.
I have cleaned mine by running distilled white vinegar thru the Keurig also? I am going to try to unclog the part you show in the video as well. I've also used the canned air in other areas to clear spaces of coffee grounds.
Don't do why I did and push to far up tho I punctured the plastic tube that's inside there above the needle 😠 so think I'm going to take the 12 gauge to it 💪
The water part of my Keurig runs smoothly we warm my baby's bottles with it so it's used regularly but when it comes to brewing a cup no good at all I use one of those refillable pods and just plain coffee I already tried descaling I tried to clean it with the pods too and it's just not going please help! It's a Keurig classic k55
I think its the k cups. Machine works great with some brands, and clogs with others. Just change brand. Forget cheaper kcups. Those will always clog machine. A lot of the kcups with added flavors will too. Like vanilla, caramel etc. Too fine a ground. Add yor flavors after. Stick with a brand that works.
I have the K-Duo Plus and unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to fix it (I know this is a completely different Keurig). Normal K-cup size brews are fine, but when I do the carafe, it is 2-3 full cups short.
@@billarsenault1822 I actually tried doing just water right now and got almost 6 full cups (46oz/48oz). I will try in the morning with coffee. If the coffee doesn’t work, then at least I have narrowed it down. My first brew with this machine was with the carafe (after setting it up and doing just water, per directions), so there wasn’t anything stuck anywhere. That’s why I was so puzzled.
How can my brand new machine be doing this already?! It barely gives 8 oz even though I chose 10 or 12 oz. I've only used it 2 or 3 times and it does it every time. I am VERY disappointed in this machine.

That got it fixed! Thanks. I did run the Kuerig until the water was clear, however. I can hardly believe how much junk came out of it.

Wow thanks I have a different model and used an oral-b tooth pick with flexy end, within 5 sec we had a functioning Keurig again!

Do you really need to take off the rubber grommet? Seems like the paper clip may be inserted without removal.

Mine still makes less then half a cup and I did this and a only water cycle
