    The charcoal he's using its like he bought from B&Q depot the charcoal should be coloured grey white and all aggregates thoroughly washed with water I just saw cement powder mixed with it . The rain water passing through the filtration system will be coloured brown that's why the charcoal needs to heat treated at a ratio 3 kg of fuel to 1 kg of charcoal.

    • @carmenortiz5294
      @carmenortiz5294 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was not B&Q charcoal, too shinny. That looked more like activated charcoal. To be specific the kind I bought from Home Depot (and other places) listed as Bio Char, which is processed different than regular charcoal. You can find instruction here on TH-cam on how to make your own (easier to just buy) and not that expensive.

    Incorrect way of making filter.The whole filter is fully packed with the material and also without washing. Length of the filter is too small . No space is left for accumulation of water and proper filtration.They must consult any hydrogeoligist of their area for systematic and scientific method.

      Was expecting a better answer.... anyway... the purpose of ACTIVATED charcoal is to eliminate bacteria and to dome degree, pathogens and has the ability to absorb and neutralise some poisons....
      in this particular case, normal charcoal was used...
      I hope this is a better explanation than being told its an important part of the filter.

      It's called reducer. It's to convert the filter inlet and outlet size to dezire size to connect with pipes before and after the filter. Filter is prepared in 6 jnch PVC pipe. Pipes before and after are mostly around 3 inch size, so you need to reduce inlet and outlet to this size. Secondly filter has to be smaller towards inlet a f outlet, otherwise material will come out of filter.
      Thanks.
