Meeting Joe Creedon again was the highlight of my September 2016 trip to Ireland. His knowledge of Irish history is amazing, and I could listen to his songs snd stories all day.
Today Somehow I was thinking of Creedon's Hotel and Joe Creedon I came across this video My Father would sing my "Inchigeelah Lass" and when I brought my family over the first stop we made was to Creedon's Hotel and Joe sang my Inchigeelah Lass for me but more importantly for my Father As I'm watching this video @ 2:23 my Uncle John's Headstone is shown you can only imagine how that made me feel. Then I see Pass of Keimaneigh and Gougane Barra I'm Proud to call myself an "O"Leary" Thank You Joe
Timothy O'Leary Timothy, I'm delighted this video means so much to you. I made it after my sisters and I (all Learys) visited Inchigeelah. Although Creedon's Hotel was technically closed on that day, Joe Creedon invited us in, told us stories, and sang for us.
PS Joe is holding a ripe banana because I was fishing around in my bag for my recorder and microphone, and I pulled out a banana I'd forgotten about, which he then seized to be his microphone!
