thank you for this! i gave the cushion that came with my chair to my dog for a new dog bed because it was so thin i could feel the bars beneath and buying a new pillow right now isn't in the budget where i keep finding them for $100+ going to have to give this a try!
Thank you for the tutorial. Can i not sew together the batting and just stuff the cover fabric with the two batting circles and stuff them like a sandwich? I tried to sew the batting with my normal machine and it broke like 4 needles.
Shelly! I have a large 2 person papasan chair I am wishing to sew a cover for, the only slight issue is that I can’t seem to figure out after finishing it all how I would be able to add buttons to tighten the fabric a bit and give it some character. Is this something you’d be able to do?
Here’s a link to a film that I think your are looking for, you can do exactly the same on the Papasan cushion. You need to make sure you have plenty of filling in the cushion, otherwise it will be uncomfortable where the buttons are. I hope this is of some help to you th-cam.com/video/VAOQValxCD4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dxGnq6A-pXx_e_V1
Hi Jilly I purchase my fabrics usually from cotton bee. I ordered for this project a fabric called Panama, as it is durable and ideal for cushions. Here’s the link: ctnbee.com/de/digital-stoff-bedrucken-online I also like Spoonflower. I order the cyprus cotton canvas fabric for upholstery and soft finishings. www.spoonflower.com/en/fabric-shop (but this is a more expensive option). Glad you liked the Film😍
Thank you for the tutorial! Straight to the point and wonderfully explained!

Fabulous! And hats off to the maker of that deck fencing - Masterful!
Thank-you😍The deck fencing is so important to stop our grandchild from falling into our natural swimming pool.

Yes that’s probably also possible but the filling may move a bit more, or you can try a jeans or a leather needle

Love the tutorial! I’m going to make two of these and use them as floor pillows in my loft. Where did you purchase the upholstery cushion fabric?

Thanks for the tutorial Shelley! About how much filling would you say is needed?
Hi Frederick, I used the filling from three 80 x 80 pillows ( as this was the cheapest way to buy the filling).
