I sew often (I make clothing) and I love this idea! Just a tip, if you plan on doing more projects like this I would suggest getting a cutting board. They have markings for measurements and will protect the surface of whatever you're cutting on. You did a great job!
So glad I found this! We're making over our daughter's bedroom and she wanted a bean bag chair for a reading corner. Even used, which I wasn't excited about, bean bag chairs are expensive. I think she'd love something like this even more - and we can use her old bedding to make the floor pillow! Thank you!
This is one of the best videos I think I've ever seen. My hat is off to you for not necessarily having all the right things or know how, but still getting the job done. Way to go!!!! 🎉
OMG!! I love it. You've inspired me. I will diy in a heartbeat. It doesn't have to be perfect. As long as it's what you wanted and are happy with the end result.
This is PERFECT!!! I am finally able to fully furnish my daughters room and I wanted a reading corner with a canopy the chairs are so expensive and nothing her color this is a life saver
I have been making large throw cushions....cost for 2=$10... a real score. New fabric 2× large prices. $2 Each.. Fill x 2 secondhand pillows (aired and sprayed with germ cleanser) $5......everything bought through Charity Shops...So delighted.😊
Thank you for sharing. I love the rawness of your video. I love decorating and creating something out of nothing and this touched my creative senses. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾.
What a great idea. Your project came out wonderfully. Yes, we have to be inventive and resourceful to create what we want and need. Enjoy your place of solace.
this is such a great tutorial, i love that it is super accessible no matter what tools you have available. Perfectly imperfect, i love that, i need to repeat that as a mantra when i do projects!
I love your perfectly imperfect floor pillow! It's exactly what I'm looking for and like you, I refuse to pay that much for something half the size of what you made! I guess I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and make my own now lol. Thanks for this!
Nice job! How has the hot glue held up? Any issues of seams coming loose or being too rigid from the glue bead? I’m quite curious at the durability of the glue joints on fabrics because this could apply to so many things DIY!
If you wanted to strengthen the seams you could use yarn/wool/embroidery cotton etc & do a blanket stitch or a cross stitch for a wee bit of extra stability plus you could use a contrasting colour if you wanted to, can be done easily by hand so no need for a sewing machine!!
Wow it came out great I love it I have been saying I'm going to make a floor pillow for years my mom used to have 2 of them that she made from rags they were so comfortable
Oh maw gawd! You are a life saver 💕 I live on the second floor and and been wanting to find something cheap, lightweight, easy diy for my living room instead of buying a heavy expensive (although lovely) “cloud sofa” and I finally found it! Thank you so much for this upload 💕 I will def be subscribing ☺️
wow.... this was very inspiring...considering that despite several mistakes and no tools -- you still pressed on and did not give up -- but made it work. this gives me hope and i too will make one. probably buy a cheap sewing m/c for the stitching part. i liked when you said u made a prayers that the circle comes out perfect... LOL.... Also i liked how you are meditating Indian style like some yogi in the end!! the end results makes it all worth the trouble...
I am proud of you for getting it done! Thank you for sharing and inspiring! I will definitely be making one for myself! Blessings to all in love and light!🙏🏼💜🙏🏼💙🙏🏼💛🙏🏼🧡🙏🏼💚🙏🏼
I think your idea was awesome and even if you made mistakes you also learned alot I'm sure and that's the most important part Your pillow looks great And thank you for sharing my daughter lives in a small apartment and this is a great idea that can be modified Please keep sharing🥰
Very nice. I'm going to try to make one for myself. What is the total circumference of the pillow and what was the final measurements of your side pieces???
I think the comments agree that we’d love to see more diys from you. My neices looks exact same Color & EVERYTHING as yours & it cost well over $500 including the tax! & it looks the SAME! Hers might be just a tiny bit bigger but wow! Great job- youve given SO many of us the motivation to try diy. I think to dave even more, I’ll fill in middle bottom area with old blankets I was gonna donate to Salvation Army & then surround it with the cotton batting as it’s a lot more expensive where I live. Love it!❤
Omg I totally loved your improv idea for the no sew pillow... It's always the unexpected idea/s to shape us into such creative crafts...and even more brilliant ideas later on... whether its boredom or cash limitations I find genius come from .... I always wanted to try a spray foam chair 🤓😋lol dont know why just figure hey...it just be fun.. (I love creative crafts with cloth soaked in concrete turned into flowers, ppl, etc)
I was wondering if since it was hot glued did it end up coming apart? I love this idea and want to try it but I feel like maybe the glue would come apart somehow
Thank you so much for this idea because I want to make 3 smaller pillows like this for my kids to have and this just made my life 10 times easier as I have these supplies instead of having to go out and buy a ton of sewing stuff that I have no clue how to use ❤️
Me too!! I’ve been wanting to get a beanbag chair or some sort of cushion for my little book corner but they’re so expensive! The floor is too hard and my bed is top bunk, but I’ve got my set up in a corner of the room, I got my bookshelf and my table with candles, I just couldn’t comfortably sit and read there 😢
MISS YOUNG LADY....I HAVE BEEN WATCHING DIY FLOOR PILLOW VIDEOS FOR 8 MONTHS HOPING THAT I CAN GRASP IT AND YOU MY FRIEND... ok ok ok. Lemme calm down 😄 simplicity and I got what you put down immediately. Crazy how the mind works 😆 now Lemme pull out my fabric bc I'm making tr33 of these 😁. Thanks for sharing and I'm subscribing 👍🏾❤
Great idea using fleece blankets. I make scarves out of these blankets. I make a lot Of pillows out of fleece to donate. I order large boxes of poly full. I love your corner. I did not use a lining.
I sew often (I make clothing) and I love this idea! Just a tip, if you plan on doing more projects like this I would suggest getting a cutting board. They have markings for measurements and will protect the surface of whatever you're cutting on. You did a great job!
Thank you so much for the tip! 💙
Hiii, thank you for the tip.
How much material would I need to make something as big as that?
Or even a large piece of cardboard would work.
@@SuzanneWho so I’m not the only one who is like Oh the floor could get cut 😮😂
Perfectly imperfect, I love it. You did it without being "fake". So refreshing. Thank you, you've inspired me to try it!!
So glad I found this! We're making over our daughter's bedroom and she wanted a bean bag chair for a reading corner. Even used, which I wasn't excited about, bean bag chairs are expensive. I think she'd love something like this even more - and we can use her old bedding to make the floor pillow! Thank you!
best part is how you put it in the corner all cozily - genious!
I love it. So cool to find another person who makes stuff like I do - trial and error. Your video and instructions were great. Love your pillow.
Looks cosy why do we always aim for perfection yours looks lovely as it is
I so love this and I will no longer feel weird for obsessing over diys. This is amazing
Loved how adventuresome Witty was in doing this project. I overthink things and think things have to be perfect! You are awesome. Thanks.
User a large metal spoon to smoothe down the edges while pressing them together. No burns.
I have been making large throw cushions....cost for 2=$10... a real score. New fabric 2× large prices. $2 Each.. Fill x 2 secondhand pillows (aired and sprayed with germ cleanser) $5......everything bought through Charity Shops...So delighted.😊

Just what I was searching for. I'm going to use the foam from about 7 bed pillows that I have available. Thanks for the inspiration.
Has the hot glue held? I have 3 toddler foam mattresses I want to turn into couches but idk if the hot glue will hold 🫣
A sewing machine would make it so much better. You definitely inspired me to create my own, thank you! The corner looks amazing!
