Well I viewed two other video of this procedure and BOTH did not have to remove the Intake Manifold. And one didn't use gloves... be safe... BUT the reason I'm commented is after the Intake Manifold was remove NO care was taken to cover the opening of the Intake... STUPID!

You do not need to remove the intake manifold to change the thermostat and when you have the o'ring seal (manifold and thermostat) you don't need to use sealers.

In the video we use an oring that came with the new thermostat. The person who did this video simply explained it wrong and needed to say " An old automotive trick when installing the new thermostat is to use a small amount of silicone rubber around the diameter of the o-ring to help ensure a proper seal." Sorry for the confusion.

Well I bought a pt cruiser 2001. So far the radiator needed changed and for a 4 cillimder it's de to be ok

What size/length are the bolts that hold the thermostat housing in place?

According to other video's it is 2 10mm bolts.

I noticed so many things wrong with this video, here are the following.
1. Yes removing the intake manifold may make it easier, but not necessary also that was not good working that clamp over an exposed intake manifold.
2. Silicone is not needed at all, the thermostat has a rubber gasket.
3. You didn't open the bleeder valve when refilling the system to make sure all air was out of the system.
4. It's not called radiator fluid it is called Coolant/AntiFreeze and probably should have explained what kind to use.

hi my 2001 pt crusier seems to have a boiling noise coming from it but it is not overheating on the temp. gauge inside car can this be the thermostat

Check that it is not your heater core leaking

Most likely leaking somewhere, but if the temp gauge is not reflecting the temp correctly, that would seem like an indication of a bad temp sensor.

my cruiser acts like its getting hot and just randomly shuts off and wont start again, ive replaced a lot of sensors, the fan itself, relays, the fan was running when it quit. it done this before I put a new fan on it,
Temp gauge shows fine, but under the hood its just so damn hot to touch anything, yet its NOT spewing anti freeze to show its over heating,, any idea

Have resolved the issue?. PTs are very delicate. It could be that you have bubbles/air pockets in your system. Also, the radiator maybe clogged outside and/or inside cells. Hey, even a loose spark plug may make it hot too.

No wonder PT owners get things wrong ,"expert" from autozoned out ,gasket goo NOT REQUIRED on intake ,squeezes plastic part in vice ,known to crack without help !

i hate when people use silicone on intake manifold O-ring style gaskets.
the new gaskets are like $12

You dont silicone those thermostats into the housing. That rubber seal does it. You silicone the mating surfaces only:)
Most plastic has o-rings. Yes sergiotl:)

Unless the rubber isn't doing the job of sealing. Sometimes you have to use silicone. I had a 2002 Ford Explorer and there was no way to get a new rubber seal in. You had to make the seal yourself with silicone rubber. Thanks for watching!

Probably is a late comment but I just replace thermostat with out silicone and I can see clearly how I'm losing coolent (job was perfect). Now I will take thermostat out and I will put silicone around.

"Upper radiator" replacement??? I never seen a radiator being replaced. The only parts that were actually replaced was the thermostat and upper radiator HOSE.
I watched this video waiting for the radiator to be replace, it never happened.

Yes, he apparently forgot the word hose. In his defense there is no upper radiator. So it wasn't intentional.
