Im finishing up my prereqs before applying to my ADN program. My school is extra tough in which all of our biology courses must have a B or higher. It is really intense but so excited to get this train rolling!
Thank you so much for your comment! Wow, that is tough but I bet it is a great program since they are so strict. It is really neat to see how different every program is. Thank you for sharing this :) Best wishes in applying to the program ;-)
Hey! I’m about to start nursing school next month and I was just wondering how much of the information/classes we gained while taking the prerequisites is gonna be used in the nursing school ? Because of the competitiveness of getting in a nursing school here in California is hard, I actually took a semester break to apply to other schools. Therefore my knowledge of classes like AP, micro and chemistry is a bit cloudy right now. Thank you for all your videos, it definitely helped me during my prerequisite years!!!
I took math 150 last semester. my first year. I got a C. but I am taking chemistry. I am confident if I study hard I will pass with an A. but I am still hurt I got an c in stats. I try sooo hard but maybe a C people won't believe my words.
+Cari Baez Math 150 is hard but keep hanging in there. All you need is a C for most programs. The math is nursing school is not as complicated as math 150. -Sarah
+Oscar Vanegas Hi Oscar! I'm doing great. I hope you are well yourself. Thanks for commenting on the video. The math is not that difficult and is very basic. I've actually made a video talking about the math in nursing school that you should watch. You can view it here: th-cam.com/video/rTVYM7RMFnU/w-d-xo.html I hope that helps! -Sarah
I'm not sure. I think some LPNs may have to take micro, but I think it depends on what the nursing program requires. Some programs don't require it...while others do.
Most lpn programs dont require all the prerequisites that RN programs do but if you become an lvn and then want to apply to an RN program you will have to finish the prerequisites required.
I’m late I know 🤦♀️ but I’m lost 😅 I want to take ADN but do I take prerequisite during the two year program?? Or do I do it before the program?? Let’s say the prerequisite takes 2 years, does that mean getting ADN will take 4 years???
Hi there! All nursing schools are different, prerequisites can take some time to complete. I needed College Algebra, A&P 1 and 2, English, and Psychology before applying. I have a few friends that were able to take the entrance exam and their prerequisites in the program. It varies with each school. I hope this helps! Good luck on your nursing school journey 💜

If you already complete your prerequisites, is the RN program still 2 years? Can you do it in a year time if NOT?
Hi how are you? my name is Oscar, and by the way thanks for your excellent advices. I was wondering if the math courses are very difficult?

Hello .. I really wanted to know how is the level of psychology in nursing..and Thanks a lot for this video... :) :)
What about prerequisites? So an ADN really takes 4 years because you have to do those first, right?
If you become an ADN do you still need to get your bachelors in science to be considered an RN
is it true that if you become a lpn they skip classes like microbiology? to become an rn

Is the bsn program more intense than the adn program?
Thank you so much really had loads of information.
