Im approaching 12k miles and my maintenance minder is saying next service will be B16 so I was wondering about the rear diff fluid and I know it isnt covered with the acura factory maintenance plan... so i wanted to prepare to have the rear diff fluid switched out lol.

      The other day I was having an argument with one of my friends about warming up your car when you start it in the morning and also letting your car cool down (letting it idle for 3-5 mins after a long highway drive) before you shut it down
      I do think you must cool your car down
      but worming up is unnecessary for newer cars.
      What do u think as an expert?

    • @BCautosolutions
      @BCautosolutions  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mm.2112 warming up for sure. Cooling down I only do if driving it hard and immediately stopping. If I’m driving normal like a commute to work I don’t let the car idle afterwards.

    Man, thabk yoy for making this video, I know its been a long time coming. You're a godsend to this community. Interesting about the DOT 4 vs DOT 5. I do a lot of crazy track-like braking 😅 There's no downside to using DOT 4 in this car? I don't know much about brake fluid.

    • @BCautosolutions
      @BCautosolutions  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DOT 4 should be plenty. From what I’ve seen shouldn’t have any problems using it. Oem pads will light on fire way before the fluid boils which at that point, will probably boil 🤣

    Got the wife's Integra with the 1.5t. Swapped oil at 100 miles to get the metal out. Damn there is very little oil in there, 3.7 quarts to be exact. Did they not learn from VW? VW had lots of trouble with turbo motors and not enough oil in the crankcase. Makes me nervous. Good content!

    Informative video. I recently bought my daughter a new Mazda CX 5 , I’ve changed oil in it every 3000-3500 miles … the service advisor says I’m overdoing it …. But he always tries to up sell me on cabin air filters ?.. I recently saw a video , it was an interview with a Nissan GTR master engine builder , I think they’re called Takuma masters .. he recommends oil changes every 5000 km ( 3125miles) .. he said doesn’t matter the price .. use the cheapest u can find mineral or synthetic doesn’t matter but the interval is most important.
