- 5.1 WAS SUPPOSED TO BE LIGHT HEARTED. WHY IS ARDBERT BACK?! After the 5.0 ending, I expected a bit more of an emotional break.
We met with Beq Lugg in the Grand Cosmos to convince them to help us with our spirit-pokeball plan and on the way discovered a way to potentially cure those (like Halric) of the sin eater sickness.
Also we had a couple reunions with some old friends like Estinien. :D

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Dulia-Chai minion carries around its own tiny Chai-Nuzz that it crushes like that.
I SAW IT INGAME. ITS INCREDIBLE.
Man, this hurts a bit to watch for me now. I lost a dear friend over the years I was playing with. I may live vicariously through other players going through the story. But this just reminds me more about what I and they were doing. Still this also just helps steel my resolve to continue playing on the character we played together on. And go through that journey even if they're not here anymore. And while maybe not the same reactions as they would have. I have a newfound appreciation for videos like these so thanks for that Terra.
This is so sad and beautiful. I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope these kinds of videos truly bring some joy and light to such hard memories.
I remember going through this for the first time. A lot of my reactions were very similar. Can't wait for the 5.2 and 5.3 videos to drop.
The cat (G'raha) bullies dog (Beq Lugg) scene is so funny.
Regarding Estinien and Nidhogg, it seems that when Nidhogg fused with him, some part of him remained permanently infused into Estinien (despite that one visual after the trial making it look like Nidhogg passed on finally). Sort of like how Hraesvelgr has the original Shiva's aether permanently bound to his own, some part of Nidhogg's is permanently tied to Estinien's (which has given shift to some of Estinien's emotional intelligence and empathy towards others, I would say), though, I certainly don't think they make it very clear.
I think he also named his spear after Nidhogg and the armor he wears (given by Hraesvelgr) was named after Lady Iceheart in respect to her.
Basically, his weapon and armor are named after the two souls that shaped him the most into who he is post Dragonsong War. ;_;

IIRC from one of the Q&A panels, the Beq Lugg conversation with the word emphasis is supposed to be from Beq's perspective. So the Scions are making heartfelt pleas while also doing dog micro aggressions against Beq Lugg's nu mou ears.
Ah, the patch-cycle-story. Such an agonizing time it was back then, waiting several months for that little bit of extra main story. I cannot wait for your reaction to 5.3

Esti kept some of Niddy's power after being possessed by him.
Just finished this bit of the game myself, glad I'm not the only one not picking up on who the white robed figure is. My friend who made an alt to replay the story with me seems to think I should... I'm really bad at recognizing stuff like this, okay? I didn't even pick up on the Gaius thing. Also, can't believe Zenos is cheating on us with Zodiark? I thought we were supposed to be his prey :

Lots of people miss it without leveling a tank, and it was even in the 5.1 trailer cuz WoL/derplander was DRK for ShB
I FIGURED it was a unique dialog option, but I really didn't want to hurt Beq Lugg, so I chose the joke option. 😭

I believe the court mage he’s talking about is also related to the a rank dearest Pauline as well…
YES T_T I didn't do the hunt, but after the tank role quests, my chat informed me about that particular hunt.

Man I can’t play these patches without bawling. 5.3 music feels like it has physical weight, the way it weighs on me sometimes.
