This video is about the tomb of Mughal Queen Noor Jahan. The tomb of Queen Noor Jahan is located in Shahdara on the banks of the Ravi River in Lahore, some distance from Jahangir's tomb. Queen Noor Jahan's birth name was Mehr-ul-Nisaa and she was born in Kandahar, southern Afghanistan. Her father's name was Mirza Ghiyas Beg who was employed in the royal court and Noor Jahan's mother's name was Ismat Begum. Mehrul-Nisaa's first marriage was with Ali Quli, an official of the Mughal government, who was later given the title of Sher Afgan, while the second marriage was with Emperor Jahangir, and during his reign, Mehrul-Nisaa became Queen Noor Jahan from Mehrul-Nisaa. According to the historian, Emperor Jahangir had fallen in love with Noor Jahan, so he sent Noor Jahan's first husband Sher Afgan to a war and had him killed by his own operatives. After that Emperor Jahangir married Noor Jahan. Along with the tomb of Queen Noor Jahan, there is also the tomb of her daughter Ladli Begum, who was born from the Sher Afgan i.e. Ali Quli family. Queen Noor Jahan was the twentieth wife of Emperor Jahangir, but she was the most beautiful, beloved and favorite wife. Emperor Jahangir's Queen Noor Jahan's ability, ability, self-confidence and intelligence were so trusted that he started taking regular advice from his Begum Queen Noor Jahan in economy, politics, culture and administrative matters. Queen Noor Jahan is the only female ruler of the Mughal Empire, on whom folk tales and novels have been written in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, and she has also been mentioned in several films and plays. Many well-known poets also included the importance of Queen Noor Jahan and her historical role in their poetry. During the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, this tomb suffered a lot of damage and similarly due to floods, the original condition of this tomb has been badly affected. There was a time when this tomb was the charming garden (Dilkusha Garden) of Queen Noorjahan. Along with Emperor Jahangir, queen Noor Jahan ruled here, there were arbitrariness, there were smiles, but today this charming garden is only a thing of the past. Apart from Noor Jahan's tomb, there are also Jahangir's tomb and Asif Jah's tomb in this charming garden (Dilkusha Garden).
This Noor Jahan tomb has been undergoing continuous renovation for many years but it is still incomplete. The government is requested to give more special attention to it despite the renovation so that it can be restored to its original condition soon. It can be done because our beautiful past, our civilization and our culture is our beautiful identity, we all have to keep it alive together.
    Best Regards
