I’ve listened to multiple interviews with SJP and MPK and when the subject of Cattral comes up, their responses are rapid and short. They immediately pivot to the next subject. It’s clear that Cattral won the war in the end. She’s getting more attention on her cameo than the entire cast. 😂
They don't to focus on someone not a member of the cast. I think they, at least, should have offered her a role in AJLT even though she will reject it.

Sarah just has a wonderful personality with the right amount of conversational playfulness - engaging and 'colloquially' affectionate. No wonder people want to be her friend

Kim Cattrall’s portrayal of Samantha Jones, was always beyond brilliant. Her comedic delivery was perfect. As for AJLT, Carrie is still Me Me Me! Miranda is now the ginger whinge. Charlotte is a dumber version of her former self. Surely this can’t go on for another season?

not a little, Kim returning is SUCH a big deal
I think they said "a little" more in reference to her role. She will only be doing a short cameo, probably 30 seconds to 1 minute on screen. As far as I have heard, she doesn't want to have a role in the show and wants to focus on her own production on Netflix.
