Not just that but the writers are trying to be in with every type or issue in the world, like trans, black people, divorce rather than be an escape they are trying to be way to much from the start. Given the very public fallout out between KC & SJP, it's a miracle that the producers were able to get her back for a cameo given how clear KC was about never returning. Apparently, the head of HBO reached out to the actress personally who then agreed to come back. How this plays out moving forward is anyone's guess, but I wouldn't be holding my breath that Samantha will return in a full-time capacity.

Didn’t like Big (who I never loved but didn’t want to see die) dying, and the way the cast turned on the actor, no more Stanford who I loved, with poor Willie passing away, the awful changes in Miranda, the treatment of poor Steve, all of it was one big Yuck to me. The random new characters. But, I’d be ALL IN for a whole new show with Kim/Samantha living her best life in London! YES please!
As soon as I saw her I started to smile and remembering how awesome Samantha was I miss her so much she was always my favourite, I was sad again when that was all we were going to see of her, but I still enjoyed both seasons, it’s great seeing all the girls again at the same age as me and dealing with life and crisis like all of us, I still get a good laugh every episode very uplifting and good humour exactly what we all need know a days, Thankyou 🥰

I think Kim did the right thing to not return full-time, after the way she was treated by the other women, especially Sarah. But it was an amazing thing for her to decide to do a cameo for her fans. I feel as though she wanted to keep the magic going and show that Samantha and Carrie are still friends just like they always were, but without having to see SJP in person as she was not prepared to talk to her again. I feel this is the perfect wrap up for Samantha, and that should be that. Kim may have said goodbye to the show as a full-time cast member, but Samantha will always be around 👑💖💅🏻🔥

As lovely as it is to see Cattrall back in Samantha’s shoes even just for a minute, it does a massive disservice to Sam’s character and the show in general. She’s now seen as happy and able to turn up in NYC even for a brief moment as if nothing ever really happened, but we know that’s very misleading, as Cattrall has firmly stated she won’t reappear again. Seeing their friendship reduced back to text messages will be so anticlimactic. The show could have instead focused on how a loss of a friendship, an inevitable reality of growing old, affects Carrie and on how Samantha’s absence isn’t a hole in the wall but a means of adding a dramatic meaning and depth to the show.

The truth is that the show is not even beginning to approach the same version of what it used to be without Kim Cattrall and the character of Samantha. The truth is that Kim Cattrall is an extremely accomplished actress, a wonderful human being, and a devout humanitarian above all. She literally deserves to be celebrated not only for her craft as an actress, as a humanitarian, but also as a defender of What Is Right. She deserves to be compensated for all of those years that she was underpaid and overlooked while she was with SATC. I personally will not watch this series until Kim Cattrall is firmly ensconced on the show in the character she created and made infamous. There is not a person alive who watches SATC or AJLT who does not recognize that Kim Cattrall IS the linchpin in the series and that the mechanism at the center of the show - the robust sexuality - completely fails without her character. Whatever machination they have to go through to get her back they need to employ because the series fails without her. It completely fails. Are you listening Sarah Jessica Parker? The truth is that the show is not even beginning to approach the same version of what it used to be without Kim Cattrall and the character of Samantha. (I rarely post about anything having to do with pop-cultured and the series and the series preceding has to do with pop culture.) The truth is that Kim Cattrall is an extremely accomplished actress, a wonderful human being, and a devout humanitarian above all. She literally deserves to be celebrated not only for her craft as an actress, as a humanitarian, but also as a defender of What Is Right. She deserves to be compensated for all of those years that she was underpaid and overlooked while she was with SATC. I personally will not watch this series until Kim Cattrall is firmly ensconced on the show in the character she created and made infamous. There is not a person alive who watches SATC or AJLT who does not recognize that Kim Cattrall IS the linchpin in the series and that the mechanism at the center of the show - the robust sexuality - completely fails without her character. Whatever machination they have to go through to get her back they need to employ because the series fails without her. It completely fails. Are you listening Sarah Jessica Parker? What about you Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis? Sarah Jessica Parker, you especially need to humble yourself and beg for the inclusion of Kim Cattrall. She is indeed a wonderful character actress and amazing human being. I will not watch the next season unless Kim Catrall is on it. (In fact, I have not watched any part of it because she is not on it!) Here is to Kim Cattrall and the next season showcasing her as Samantha? There’s absolutely no one like sexy Samantha, her purring voice, her beautiful long legs, her strong femininity, in fact, in eg mom she absolutely screams “in-control empowered sexy intelligent” woman! Kim Catrall is one classy lady, she didn’t need to do a whole episode to make a statement & kutos to her as she did it on her own terms. I don’t think Sex & the City would have been so impactful today, after 25 years had the show or films been without Kim Catrall AKA Samantha Jones, she made that show ❤❤ her character was so iconic. Love her!!

Why can’t the producers keep Kim on the show but still living in London? Show bits of her life there and still be in touch with “her friends” via calls, FaceTime, etc I think would be interesting.

The only episode I was excited about watching! One minute with Samantha was more worthed watching than all together previous episodes of this reboot.
I enjoy it so much that they had to get humble that success is not the same without Samantha and Kim.
