4:29 - I was going through your videos and thought to ask you to cover A Town with An Ocean View. Then saw this medley. Thank you, this is my favorite.
I made a Ghibli mix CD, and I thought it was clever starting with the rousing wake up song "Morning in the Slag Ravine" from Castle in the Sky. But really its truly hard to go wrong with nearly any of Joe Hisaishi's beautiful music!
You are absolutely amazing Kara. Your beautiful & truly heartfelt playing has touched my heart and my very soul, while transporting me right into the animated realm of Spirited Away itself 😭
beautiful playing :)) I'm so glad I found this video! You play all of the songs with lots of passion and finesse, it's clear to see that you are a talented piano player!
When i saw Studio Ghibli, i thought, "Oh, maybe Kara did one from My Neighbor Totoro?" My kids are so happy! They loved that movie so much and recognized that one immediately! They were doo-doo-dooing along with you 😄 Edit: 11:47 for my future reference :)
This was perfect both in lenght and content for playing in the background during breakfast with my daughter. We could not guess all of them though. Might be time to rewatch both Laputa and Nausicaa, she was probably just 5 or something when we watched those, now she's 13.
that was beautiful. You are a true inspiration. Cheeky wish: I would love to hear a medley of Final Fantasy VIII, I saw you played some songs already, but have you also played "The Landing"?
Here is a bit more Bach. m.th-cam.com/video/7Z4hfUGel0E/w-d-xo.html I want to get the few pieces I don't have documented in my church services up there. I'm sorry if I disappoint you, Kara. My Mom is always telling me what a grave and utter disappointment I am. I'm pretty sure the words, "bitter" and "miserable" have also been thrown in there. She's a fun lady. She's always in my corner. Maybe tomorrow I will have more Bach and Gerudo Valley for you, the only song in the Nintendo books I felt the need to alter to make the left hand more closely match the guitar strumming (they weren't even trying). Maybe some day we'll hear about Mike and his uncle Dr. Jones. Rather a long thing as I recall, takes more than a day.
Whatever became of that live action Akira they were talking about at one point? Did the task prove too ambitious or did they just prove too squeamish for it?
Amazing : ) Now you just need to sing the totoro song for us hahaha. Love that jam! Even though I have no idea what a totoro even is and or why it has a cat bus???

Thank you, this is my favorite.
Very good I finally listened to this whole set. I could picture the images of the movies playing with my eyes shut.
My gosh you are so talented, I've been listening to all your performances to help me study and relax, please never stop making music.
awesome I love that!! :)
Very majestic! Well-performed per usual. Thanks for this Kara!
Castle in the Sky is my favorite movie of all time ever.
I KNEW this would start with One Summer's Day. There's no other proper way to start it!

I didn't read the "Medley" part at first, so that was a nice surprise when this kept on going longer than expected!
this was a fun set, it was before you found me!
Lovely, just lovely. Joe Hisashi is a genius composer and you do his music all the justice it deserves.
Thank you Tom :)
I would definitely get tickets for a Tara World tour! 👍👍
Heck ya!

I do play a lot of FFVIII music on my streams, I think I have played the landing at some point but it's probably buried in the archive XD
nice, thanks for the hint. *digging*

I love this! What's your favorite film?
I think Ponyo! :D
@@KaraKomparetto-fv9hq That's such a cute movie! I really enjoyed that one too!
@@KaraKomparetto-fv9hq Haven't seen anyone choose that one. Unique choice! I do love the color palette in that one. Has a refreshing feel to it.
@@AlphaCrucis I love how the music tells the story, I think it’s my favorite score of them all :)
