    Hey, great practical review. I have the exact tool and it has saved my back many times over.
    The older I get, the less I want to move. Here is a small tip to save a swivel:
    Pick a log off the ground and swing it up under your arm, unstick, then stick another log.
    You now have a log in one hand and another log on the pickeroon. You can then move to where you want to move or stack your logs, but with two logs.

    I got two bad knees and a bad back and using the pickaroon to load and unload firewood from the truck bed has been a game changer, I also use it to to reach tools and other stuff that has slid forward in my truck bed that I normally couldn’t reach. A very simple and a handy tool that I use all the time.

      It is a nice tool that definitely has uses other then just picking up wood. Thanks for watching.

      It is handy and works good. Don't think it is any faster but it helps to eliminate bending over. Thanks for watching.

    Gripo brand, Canadian Style Pulpwood Hooks are awesome. Buckin Billy Ray showed how well they work.
    I got a wood handle one, three actually, but one that I like. Great device. Yes, All Fiskars tools are lifetime warranty. Awesome company!!!
    I got the blade on my geared loppers replaced.

      I am very happy with this one and think it will last longer then I will. I like the handle length and shape that makes it easy to index. I was able to move that whole stack of wood without having to bend over. We all find different ways and tools to accomplish the same task that work best for us. Thanks for watching.

    Just got one myself couple weeks ago, great tool! Saves your back when picking from the pile, hefting logs on to the splitter and also unloading from the back of a pick-up. One observation did occurred to me though, be careful when swinging, it could easily end up buried deep in your shin with a swing and a miss.

      At least around here the snakes disappear for 6 months of the year. This is the first year we have seen snakes other then small garter snakes. I think all the flooding is pushing them up to dry land where their food source has moved to. Thanks for watching.

    Fiskar's are great! They make some of the most wonderful scissors and garden snips! They also make a wonderful extending limber. Check them out if you are in the market for something like that.

      I picked up one of the limbers last fall and haven't tried it yet. Walmart had them marked down from $50.00 to $10.00 so I grabbed one. I use their pruners all the time. Thanks for watching.

    I'll take big, harmless snakes any day of the week. Had a coral snake in the backyard here in FL a month ago - now I have to do a sweep of the yard before I can let the dog out. Worst part is I had a chance to take it out with the lawn mower when I first saw it - but I let it slither away.....
    Cool tool tho - def. easier than bending and chucking for an afternoon.....

      Hopefully I will find it and get a picture to see what it really is. Loaded up some snake shot for my 357 if it is a bad boy. It works good you just have to watch your toes. Thanks for watching.

    In Canada you just bring in your fiskars tools that are broke to Canadian tire and they give you a new one, people grab crappy ones at thrift store then go get the upgrade

    You can’t go wrong with any Fiskers product, I’m starting to get a good collection of them myself. If you ever need to see anything to do with firewood, check out Eric’s channel “Life in the Farmland “ I believe. It might be Life on the farmland. I know it’s one of the two. Anyway, he’s tried many firewood tools out there and has a good channel if you get a chance to check him out.

    I was just looking online I see that in the Buffalo area, there are three venomous snakes, Timber Rattlers, Copperhead, and another type of Rattler, hmmmm, maybe you should exterminate these critters if you can't readily identify them, I had no idea, NY had these critters.

    • @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
      @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We had copperheads at our last house and they were very aggressive. I think rattlers are protected in NY. As long as they have round eyes I think they are non venomous.

  • @william38022
    @william38022 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What all youinsguys got in your area timber rattlers and probably Mississauga(swamp rattlers)rattlers and occasional copperheads rat snakes too probably we get all that and more with the gardener snakes 🐍

    • @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
      @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it is from all the flooding at the bottom of the hill pushing all the snake food up to dry ground. I think it's just a water snake. Got half the pile moved and haven't seen it. Thanks for watching.

    Pssst, I bet the snake(s) are more scared of you, you don't have any Timber Rattlers. do you? I bet the snakes are non-venomous, but, they probably would be pissed off if someone tried to pick them up. They probably eat mice and voles.
