    HCTZ also raises blood sugar. I became pre-diabetic while taking HCTZ despite a low-carb diet. When I stopped, my blood sugar returned to normal very quickly. Beta blockers such as metoprolol also raise blood sugar. Both lower testosterone.

    Hi. There seems to be a contradiction. How can these drugs stop the progression of kidney disease and at the same time damage the kidneys?

    • @luluspeers3110
      @luluspeers3110 ปีที่แล้ว

      They medication only masks the problem, therefore unless you can do everything you can to fix the problem, medication isn't going to stop what's already happening

    I have a tumor in my left adrenal gland, which is causing my high blood pressure. My doctor put me on lisinopril and it is causing my throat to swell and a constant cough, as if there is something in my throat. As well as a little bit of chest discomfort. My tonsils are swollen, large that my ENT doctor wants to remove my tonsils. however, after watching this very informative video, I may suggest to my doctor to put me on a different prescription. Thank you for making this video.

    I have tried 3 meds so far…still on 2 ….biggest issues include muscle cramps, dehydration (despite drinking H2O all day) and worse, chronic constipation.

    I experience chronic migraines, and while having a migraine my BP becomes very elevated (160/90). While the BP is high I take 100mg of HYDRALAZINE twice a day and that prevents a hypertensive crisis. On a day without a migraine attack my BP will be 133/78 or lower. It’s been very difficult to regulate my BP because of the prodrome and postdrome phases of the frequent migraine (12 a month).

    His claim thar the Arb inhibitors do not cause cough is a lie. About 5% on Arb get cough compared to 15-20% from ACE.
