One of the earliest farmhouses in Victoria had a new coat of lime mortar and white set.
First coat - " scratch coat' - the lime and sand the coat here had alkaline resistant chopped fibre glass instead of horse hair.
It is scratched to form a key for the next coat.
Second Coat - Lime and finer sand.
