- A new age of cleaner hybrid electric vehicles is here, and the New Ford Puma embodies this with the self-charging EcoBoost Mild Hybrid option.
The Mild Hybrid system in the Puma uses a 48V battery and electric motor to support the combustion engine. This delivers increased torque, improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
At low speeds, Stop-In-Gear technology can switch off the engine when the clutch and brake are pressed. The Puma will then coast while still in gear, further reducing emissions. And when you need accelerate again, the electric motor can restart the engine in around 300 milliseconds - the blink of an eye.
And there’s no need to connect Puma to an external power source, as the 48V battery that powers the electric motor is recharged while you drive.

Is this the same tech used in the honda crz, 10 years ago?
😅😅😅 British are always lagging behind in technology yet still failed and least reliable 😅😅😅
Has the battery been moved as the mega box is different from one puma to a different one ?
Hi Andrew, the MegaBox Extended Bootspace is standard on all Puma's and would be the same dimensions on each ^Alisha
@@FordUK OK thanks I'm getting a puma soon
Never seem to see the hybrid gauge go into the blue with our Puma no matter how we drive it, only 3 weeks old.
What does it mean? Whay are you trying to say?
@@milosjankovic2456 that the hybrid gauge wouldn't go into the blue...
