Thank you uploading. I love the audio. It has the raw live show feel. Friends I miss Bradley, we all do. I had a hard time accepting Rome, but in the end it's a record sublime never got to tour on. I don't think Rome is trying to replace Bradley, but rather keeping his music alive. We are all so blessed to have gotten to hear this amazing music. Long live Bradley, Long live Sublime.
Rome is not a replacement, he is just a means of Sublime's music living on. If you like at it, Brad would cover many other reggae songs and this would be no different.
I saw these guys as the surprise/special guests for the 2010 KROQ Almost Acoustic and the crowd went crazy and everyone was singing along. I know Rome isn't Brad, so lets not make the comparison. But like Oliver said , just enjoy the music.
I respect Eric & Bud lost a lot when Bradley died, and never really got to play the self-titled album live except a couple songs at their last few shows before he passed..And they were starting to really explode with popularity when they lost him. So I understand it prob meant a lot to be able to play these songs live again/record new music. Plus it's not like they immediately replaced Brad; he'd been gone like 15 years or so when they first started jammin with Rome. I totally understand/respect what they're doing, and it's cool people who grew up listening to Sublime but never got to see 'em live have the opportunity now. I never got to either but Bradley would've been a HUGE part of why I'd want to see them, even though Eric & Bud are extremely talented too. With that said, I just can't get into them with Rome..He's not a bad singer/guitarist, but the music just isn't the same without Brad's voice/soul/his playing style. Certain bands just never will be what they were if they lose such a key member (especially a singer). Sublime/Bradley is one of those situations, same with Alice in Chains. The guy AIC has now is a talented singer/musician, but will never come close to the voice & emotion Layne Staley had. Each band lost guys who were a HUGE part of who they were. In that situation I feel the band should move on under a diff. name, but can still perform older songs too of course. On top of that Rome gives me a vibe like he's kind of a douche or some shit and I wouldn't like him lol..just doesn't have a chill, humble, down to earth vibe like Brad. I don't know exactly why Bud left after playing with Rome for a bit; but I think he prob just didn't feel right doing it. And knew Brad's voice/soul waa part of what made the songs so magical, it's hard to play or sing songs as well as whoever wrote them. I'd prob feel something isn't right/is missing if I was in that position too lol. I know I rambled, but I'm stoned and felt the need to leave my 2 cents hahah.
Also, for the people saying Bradley was great but was always sloppy/falling over playing live, you need to find more videos of their concerts haha..He had his fair share of shows where he was too fucked up and didn't play/sing well for sure..but there's videos of shows where he/Eric/Bud were all as tight & clean as possible. Majority of the time he put on pretty good performances. But you can only find footage of so many shows and a lot of the videos aren't very good quality. Plus that type of music isn't meant to be played cookie-cutter perfect, that's part of what gives it character haha.
They're way better with Rome live in my opinion. I saw Sublime fronted by Brad in a show in Hawaii a few months before he passed and it was awful. One of the most disappointing ever for me. Right after he died, Bud and Eric played with the Long Beach Dub All Stars doing a tribute to Brad playing all Sublime songs, but they had the samples and replicated how they sounded on the albums, something Sublime with Brad didn't do that well. They were way better than Sublime live. Sorry just being honest, they're one of my fave bands on the basis of 40 oz, and Robbin the Hood, less on the last album.
I understand that not everyone is happy that Rome is part of Sublime and is taking over Bradly's spot and to be honest he never will but at the same time everyone should be happy that Sublime is still around and still making Sublime living on and on. It's obvious that there evens shouldn't even be a comparison to Bradly and Rome but as a fan of Sublime, just be happy that Sublime is still living and still going on instead of something that stopped like other bands. They were at Artpark this year. I went and loved it!! I was only about 2 when Bradley died so it's a shame that I never actually got to hear the real Sublime. No he isn't Brad, but I loved it anyways! Just stop with all this hate because it's not what Bradley or Lou Dog would want.

I feel like people forget how messed up brad was when he played live lol. I love the original sublime but rome is pretty good live. Brad messed up his own licks and chops all the time and would fall over on stage. I think Rome is becoming a big d bag fast and thats not cool. But musically they are solid.
rome's performance is really great. chosing him was a very good decision. his live performance is slightly better than brad's but he never ever get close to brad's song writer abilities. and this is quite alright with me.
brad was a good musician, excellent singer and a god gifted genious song writer. but objectively his live performance wasn't that great. anyway he is my hero, no one can replace him and fortunately no one wants to replace him. rome is a good successor. that is all.
I feel the same way. As someone who got to see Bradley live I really think that things just seem way out of the "sublime" side. I just seen Hell Yeah live recently, not because I like the band, but because I wanted to see Vinnie playing drums again. It seemed so weird not seeing, his brother, Dimebag with him. I seen Pantera 8 times live, and they are definatly the most intense live band I have ever seen. I am just saying, Both seem weird without their engines.

Brad trademarked the name sublime solely under his name and it was his wishes that nobody be in a band called "sublime" without him in it. They tried to tour as sublime, but a lawsuit filed, and now they are sublime with rome. The End.

Although im an auto mechanic for a large mining company in which i service dump trucks that would tower over your ute lets not talk about that, The guitar solo isnt really that hard and you do not need to be a mechanic to learn about guitar solos, i went to university and did all my mechanic courses and i never once learnt about guitar solos in any of the courses i did.

Look people here's the situation, Brad chose to kill himself with that crap he was injecting into his arm, he chose to not care about his band, his fans, his wife and his brand new baby, so what is the rest of the band suppose to do? Rome is not replacing Brad because Brad is gone for good. What's happening is Rome has given the 2 remaining members of Sublime a chance to continue on and make a living. Sublime is backing Rome and in return Rome is keeping Brad's music alive by playing some old songs that's why its Sublime "With" Rome. Would you rather never here Sublime songs live ever again??? You can't have everything people. Its also my opinion that Rome plays those old songs live better then Brad did, Brad often would just wonder off changing the lyrics and change his guitar parts and not always for the better

personally I do like Brad better, but I am NOT against Rome at all. I think he is more technical than Brad because Brad would just do whatever, he is playing the songs note for note. This is a double edged sword: I love the original Sublime, in my top 5 favorite all-time bands but this Rome guy is pretty average (and that's being generous). Kind of like when you want a Coke, but get the bad quality B-grade imitation. But maybe better than nothing, or is it?

Sublime is backing Rome and in return Rome is keeping Brad's music alive by playing some old songs that's why its Sublime "With" Rome. Would you rather never here Sublime songs live ever again??? You can't have everything people. Its also my opinion that Rome plays those old songs live better then Brad did, Brad often would just wonder off changing the lyrics and change his guitar parts and not always for the better

juan cardona yup I hate these Rome haters look man we ALL loved Bradley but unfortunately he is gone...sublime is one of those lifetime bands that we all wish could've got back together but didn't because it was impossible because Bradley died....be grateful we have a great musician like Rome that is not only good enough to fill the role but is doing a badass job at it hater
personally I do like Brad better, but I am NOT against Rome at all. I think he is more technical than Brad because Brad would just do whatever, he is playing the songs note for note. Brad did have more soul, punk means freedom and I think he went with those ethics. He played a sloppy as he wanted to but he still sounded good

Rome is such a tool. He destroys all the songs. Bud realized this and bolted. He is nothing compared to Bradley. They should have just called it quits and not done this project at all. Rome comes across too cocky in the latest interviews and he seems like he thinks his poop doesnt smell and that just gets on my nerves.
Hell I didnt even make it :55 sec. No one should ever try to fill Bradly's spot. I agree we need to let Sublime's music live on & be heard, but lets do that with pre-recorded albums, videos, songs, skits, exc. Eric & Bud should have just kept it a duo thing after the fact. If they were wanting to keep the spirt alive... Oh 9:13 not bad, but Im sure there are many guitarist out there that could bust that shit out with a min of practice. Overall horrible preformance & Disrespectful. R.I.P Bradly!

This is a double edged sword: I love the original Sublime, in my top 5 favorite all-time bands but this Rome guy is pretty average (and that's being generous). Kind of like when you want a Coke, but get the bad quality B-grade imitation. But maybe better than nothing, or is it?
