🕯️How 'Leave it to Beaver' Actors Have Passed Away
Did you grow up watching the iconic sitcom Leave It to Beaver? This beloved show captured the essence of the all-American family and delivered timeless lessons through the adventures of young Beaver Cleaver. It takes us back to a simpler America, an era many of us long for and love to relive through reruns.
But as time goes on, we’ve had to say goodbye to many of the cherished actors who made the Cleaver family feel like our own. While some lived long, fulfilling lives, others left us far too soon-in their 40s, 50s, and 60s.
Stick with us to the end while we explain the stories of how Leave It to Beaver actors have died

Growing up in the ghetto without a father, I watched this show and wished I could live that life. I still watch reruns occasionally. I think I gave my kids a modern version of this life.
I watch Leave it to Beaver as a child and still watch it today in syndication almost ever morning.
Eddie Haskell my favorite Beaver character. "Good morning, Mrs. Cleaver. Good morning Mr. Cleaver."
They should of highlighted him...He was a main character!!!
IN UNISON:
'🎶Good morning Eddie🎶🙄.'
Miss Landers was gorgeous
you forgot to mention that Barbra Billingsley was fluent in Jive
Cut me some slack Jack!
Airplane? The movie.
I still watch it!
So do I...in fact, almost every morning!
Such a heartfelt and respectful tribute! 'Leave it to Beaver' truly captured a simpler time, and the actors gave us characters we’ll always remember.
I got such a HOOT out of Eddie Haskell! ❤😂🎉😅
Very good presentation. I do wish that Ken Osmond as Eddie Haskell got a segment like Frank Bank as Lumpy Rutherford did.
I watch this show today with my kids and wish it could be remastered in color. So sad to see how they're all gone.
Watch the Beaver every morning love the show may they all RIP.
I've always enjoyed all of the LTB characters, but my favorites, by far, were Hugh Beaumont and Barbara Billingsley...they were both totally AWESOME!
May they RIP. I always laugh thinking about Eddie Haskell's fake politeness. TY for sharing this. God Bless You & stay safe.
"Stewardess,I Speak Jive!!"-Barbara Billingsley"Airplans"😮😅😊😢😊
I always get a kick out of the Episode where June, who did nothing, needed a Housekeeper to help her with the Chores. Two kids & she needed help. My Mom had 7 kids and worked while we were all in school plus had no help like June with Housework. 😅😅😅😅
Lumpy’s dad called him Clarence; the kids called him Lumpy.
My son and I visited Whiteys grave up here in Oregon in 2022. RIP all.
Can't believe you left out the Dick Van Dyke Show for Richard Deacon😮😮
He was so good on that show.❤
I think there’s a misunderstanding, this list is of Leave It To Beaver Actors & Actresses not The Dick Van Dyke Show.
Mel Cooley
I agree. The only reference to
The Dick Van Dyke Show was
in the very beginning. The punching bag with
Mel Cooley's face on it.
That was from the episode
" When A Bowling Pin Talks,
Listen " .
When I think of Richard Deacon, The Dick Van Dyke Show and Leave It To Beaver immediately come to mind.
I loved that show❤❤
Probably Wally Clear, alot of times the older brother who pick on their younger brother or sister. Wally didn't pick on Beaver though instead was respectful and would give Beaver advice.
RIP Tony Dow & all the others
As for Richard Deacon, you didn't mention he played Mel Cooley on " The Dick Van Dyke Show" The original version of the1960,s
Thank you, this was well done with lots of information I did not know.
I still watch Beaver every day, and my late dad's nickname in high school was Lumpy.
Stan Fafara was my little buddy in middle school. Very sad what happened to him. He was a good kid.
I had a crush on sue randle
Many of these actors died young.
Rest in peace to them
Anyone else think Beavers mom was hot? ❤❤
If you notice the only one living is The Beaver, cause you never see a dead Beaver.
No Lumpy is what his friends called him ,his dad never did, he only called him Clarence.
Oh the irony. My husband‘s name was Dow. He also died of liver cancer, just like Tony Dow. 💔 I met Jerry once about 20+ years ago. He was nice, but I wouldn’t have recognized him if they hadn’t told me who he was.
MY MOM IS TAMMY VETTE WILKINSON
PASSED AWAY STOMPTOMSCANCER + HEART ATTACK 0:42
May he grow in your heart
He really did change a lot over the years. Some do, some don't. Comme ci comme ça
Burt Mustin would be near 140 if he was still alive.
Amazing video! This video really honors their memories.
Quite a few never made it out of their 60s !! Wonder why.
More people than not smoked back then.
Smokers, probably. As a kid, i remember people smoking on planes and everywhere.
The average life expectancy in the US in 1970 was only 70.36 years, so they weren't considered that young really. Plus there was a lot of cigarette smoking going on back then.
Smoking cigarettes
Grew up with it! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Richard Deacon used to be great friends with fellow gay icon, Paul Lynde.
Love them all miss them. ❤
Great show had stories that still means today life
Richard Deacon was also in the Mother's in law as Roger Buell
I watched this classic sitcom on reruns in the late 1960s.
Madge Blake also was a character in the Bat Man TV series.
If I could have had any TV parents for my own parents (who were amazing btw), it would have been Ward & June Cleaver
Beaver is the last man standing, unfortunately.
I remember Doris packer as Chatsworth Osborne Jr s mom on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis.
She got a lot of airtime on that show. Herbert T. Gillis would never shut up. A lot of dialog in that series if I recall. A lot of yelling.
🙏
I love your vids
I remember this show as a kid. The "Beaver" angle was the basis for the show, but I remember the stories centered on "Wally" may have saved that show. More interesting better character acting.
I LUV leave it 2 beaver
Don't forget Mrs. Cleaver's ever present pearl necklace!
👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️💖💖💖💖
I wonder how many of these people were smokers
Mrs Cleaver spoke jive as well
John Hoyt was on many TV shows, even a daytime soap. The Rifleman, Outer Limits, Science Fiction Theater and others.
8:55...Herb Alpert......
Is Beaver the only one living???
Consider yourself lucky if you live beyond 70.
🙏🙏
Had a woody for Wally! lol
Beaver, rip
Do MASH cast please
They're all in good company above
