🌈 Hollywood Gay Actors Who Passed Away (With Cause Of Death)
Throughout the years, countless actors have left their mark on the entertainment industry, not only with their talent but by challenging societal norms and pushing boundaries. Among them are notable figures from the LGBTQ+ community who made significant contributions to film and television.
And with some of them, you might not have even known they were gay.
In this video, we take a look at gay actors we lost over the years.

I didn’t know Paul Winfield was gay
I have a good friend that is a film producer. A lot of these people actually died of heart failure due to complications due from AIDS their families just didn't want to release that information
Will Geer would be more correctly considered bisexual. He was married to Herta Ware for twenty years, they had three children together, & he had a daughter from a prior relationship.
Some surprising names on this list.
Probably MORE than should be on it, I would suspect.
How do you even know they were gay? How many of them actually owned up to it? Sal Mineo, for instance, did NOT.
for those old enough to recall, aids was such a tragedy. RIP to all the many victims.💖
Hey, what's up? I came across a very nice movie called "Longtime Companion" (1990). The movie is about that time when AIDS appeared. Very good movie.
I have to say in my opinion i like this style of video where you guys don’t stop and talk about each individual person like your other videos
I didn’t know half of these actors were gay
Now you do Einstein.
John Inman😭
'Are you free'❤
Now do one with the gay women next.
👎🏻
With the UK actors it’s hard to tell if they were gay or just very English in their mannerisms.
Well, we don't know, because not ONE of these guys was given a proper send-off.
Best just to assume that every UK actor is a raging 'thespian'.
I had no idea Rock Hudson was only 59 when he died I thought for sure he was in his 70s
I'm straight but I'm sure glad I toned back my sex life in the late eighties early nineties
Rock Hudson was the first actor I remember dying and it was said that he had died of AIDS. Before that I think it was called the Gay plague.
Thank you for posting this. Almost all the actors from boys in the band died of AIDS. I often wondered as a kid where many of these actors went now I know.
Only Lawrence Luckinbill who played Hank is still alive. He's been married to Lucie Arnez for decades.
I also thank you. I'm 78 years old and this was a very long list of people I remember throughout my life. Nothing but smiles as each name came up on the screen!
Death calls all of us home eventually. Life is short and is fleeting ..
'Home." 🤣🤣
There must have been a lot of disappointed women.
Or worried because they played opposite of them and had to kiss them in scenes. Some men were bi-, married with children.
Tommy Kirk was my first crush after I saw Old Yeller. I was 12.
And parents.
But a lot of satisfied men! 😬
Definitely
not really if a guy wants another.
I love so many of these. A lot of greats on this list. ❤
hard to believe will Greer was gay
I had no clue James Coco was gay .
Didn't know Richard Deacon or Ron Palillo were gay until recently.
The brutal murder of Sal Mineo was a real shock at the time. Never knew he was gay, nor Earl Holliman. It matters not what you are, it is how you treat others, and it is this I reserve my judgement for fellow man.
RIP boys.
So many who didn't die of AIDS, murder or accidents were under 70. How much of their heart and organ disorders had to do with the stress of concealing themselves is so sad.
The causes given were probably false to conceal the fact that they died of AIDS.
Many were heavy smokers, drinkers and drug users.
Thank you for the list, but I don't believe all of them were gay, I am wondering how you "Know"
Next do you think you can do lesbian actresses that passed away
Or the ones that abused their spouse... Or the ones that were republicans...
Did you know that if you are a lesbian you are more likely to be left handed..? Weird fact but true.
Sad video. I remember the AIDS horrors of the 80s and how the people with this virus were made to feel. Awful for them.
Can anyone please tell me what the beautiful music is in this video? I do wish people would credit the music used in these videos.
I didn’t know that man from Monty python was gay
Yeah rest of the Pythons talked about that after he had died.
Not being a pain, I swear, but how old are you? I remember when it happened (I'm a Gen Xer)
Gram Chapman yes gay
He wasn't just gay, he was GAY🥳🎉
Graham Chapman was a flamer haunted by alcoholism and drug use.
Very talented.
Gone too soon.
I just want to know the name of the background music. It's hauntingly beautiful
They all gave us wonderful talent
Dick sergeant from bewitched,surprised me
wowwww, king tut was gay??? and the joker tooooooo??????
Was that king tut or the mad hatter?
i missed one, i believe van johnson was the minstrel
Incredibly sad to see. What's worse, though, is to hear that some died from inflicted injuries or attacks. I wonder if they are attacked for being gay?
Thank u for a wonderful tribute
And I guess they dominated the whole of Hollywood with it
So much loss. We didn’t realize how good an actor Rock Hudson was until we found out he was gay.
So very sad!! I had no idea of most of these folks. 😢
Didnt know Charles Laughton was gay
Dirk Bogarde. Loved him with Charlotte Rampling in “The Night Porter “❤️🔥
It's a shame with Taylor Negron, you put Fast Times Ridgemont High even though he only had one line. He did so many other great films.
Shocking how many died of aids and surprising how many actors I didn't know were gay!
I knew Merritt Buttrick. He was bisexual
I wonder what the average age at death for these actors is compared to straights.
Too many AIDS cases... RIP to all of them. #cureaids
I'm so glad they showed people who were actually gay. So many of these videos make preposterous claims about g Golden Age actors. I actually saw one that said Spencer Tracy was gay!
He was always drunk so he could have played both sides.
SPENCER TRACY WAS GAY. HE and KATE HEPBURN were placed in a fake relationship to hide their true homosexual leanings!
What is this channel's obsession with who's gay or lesbian? Who cares!????!
You're here commenting. Evidently, you.
You do !
@Collin-k1i ---> Maybe they are trying to be helpful to prevent diseases spreading. The Federal Government (very often friendly to sex perverts) made it a law that people with AIDS / H.I.V. are NOT to be contacted or traced and the people they had sex with or shared a heroin needle with are NOT to be contacted and quarantined.
ALL other S.T.D.'s (Sexually Transmitted Diseases ARE legally (by Law) traceable by County Doctor or State Doctors and every person that the disease carrier has had sexual contact with (body fluid swapping) with must be warned and a blood sample taken, and then that person must be quarantined to stop the spread of S.T.D.'s .... EXCEPT A.I.D.S. (which is the deadliest one), but since so many people in Showbiz / music-biz and the political-News -TV world are h o m o s e x u a l or b i-s e x u a l people, they are given a "green light" to spread their "lifestyle" and the consequences thereof.
Gonorrhea and Syphilis are the two big S.T.D.'s but there are many more. A.I.D.S. is the only S.T.D. that has "civil rights". Protection of the perverts by highly placed people in the government.
A lot of people do. Many of these people suffered because of who they loved and that should never have happened. Next time don't watch the video about gay people and don't write comments that make you sound like an intolerant fool.
Christian Nationalist Trump voters. They're obsessed with it.
What a beautiful tribute❤
That was nicely done, thank you ❤
A few of these I didn’t know about and some of them I never heard of.
All died young too
In the Big Picture of Life,
it matters not HOW they
lived, or HOW they died,
what truly matters is that
Our Great Creator saw us
ALL as fallen souls, and
sent His Son, a Perfect
Sacrifice, to pay the price
for ALL of Our wrongdoings.
Believe in Him, and his Free
Gift, and Eternity in Paradise
will be your final destination.
😢😢😢. CB
I was really surprised at Paul Winfield and Kevin Conroy. Had no idea. A few others surprised me too. Raymond Burr too? Wow.
RIP to all of them.
Would you mind listing the names of the songs used in this video?
👎🏻
Was Queens FreddyMercury
mentioned?
Oh wow! but not really surprising given the career.
Wow. So many queers. Who knew.
Anyone that paid a goddamn ounce of attention. Theatre? Acting? Stupid.
Thank you for not talking like you do in most of these. I really appreciate it. I can't understand why some get talked about and not others when all are equally important to loved ones and fans. I haven't heard of most of these showcased here, the handful I did recognize I knew they were gay and what they passed from but there were 4 I never knew were gay and even thinking about movies/shows I've watched them in still can't imagine it. It's all sad. I don't know why we can't just be born then grow to be like 100, and pass in our sleep peacefully. Disease's are such an unfair fate and such a heavy burden.
Well I never knew Earl Holliman was gay (parents used to watch stuff he was in) . I haven’t actually heard of a lot of these actors as before my time but just before he appeared I randomly thought, I wonder if they’ll show that actor from A Taste of Honey (I like a good kitchen sink drama) and lo and behold he came on screen two seconds later.
I didn't know either, but it does ring true now that I've heard.
The only way to look at this is to fast forward through rapidly with the arrow button.
Wow thank God im a straight guy
Paul Lynde and John Inman were very funny. I miss them.🙏🏻
I didn't know Paul Winfried or Will Geer were gay.
Special place is awaiting them
Great video
A list of the actors that went what Bill Paxton described in "Aliens"..."Express Elevator to HELL...GOING...DOWN!"
Be nice,or they will snub you when you show up!
I didn't know Kevin Conroy. Batman
Me either 😕
Raymond Burr 😢😢😢😢
I loved him in his 50's and 60's.Those eyes and that beard.🥰
I actually dated a guy for a while that favored him
And then we got to me his partner Robert.
Went to his winery.Saw lots of pictures and had a bottle of wine with him.😊
Didn't know horse shack was gay
Catwreazle id never have known ,the sneaky queen
What is this music it’s haunting
When in the recent news, Earl Holliman was a big surprise. Being gay is only one part of a person, important though only one. RIP
Some I knew, some I wasn't aware. They all contributed to be their craft. Victor Bueno I had no idea.
Hollywood should change it's name to Gaytown.
And your place to Assville.
Not just Hollywood. The music industry, too
To further press a point from the voice-over: if they didn't think they were lbgtq, how would you know? But yes, this was done well and is suitably spooky.
I died by breaking spaghetti in front of an Italian
😅😅😅
So you committed suicide.
I didn't know that was a gay trait?
Didn't know Earl Holliman was gay.... I'm still in love with Raymond Burr.
What is the relevance of mentioning that these actors were gay? They were human beings, that is enough for their importance. This video is boring.
That's the point of the video.
Screw your comfort.
Embarrasing. I know only 7 from this actor list.
The causes of death for these actors doesn't surprise me at all
Rest in peace to them
🙏
👎🏻
Antony Hamilton (1:54) 😭
I had no idea david ogden stiers was gay. Loved him in mash
Was it worth living in sin and to reject the Son of the Living God to be banished to Hades for eternity???
May they all RIP
Who really cares if they're gay or not...
Maybe gay fans seeing someone like them succeed?
Turn the sound off, put on 2x speed and get through it without the hokey music or stupid commentary.
God is the final judge.
I do not know how a human can be a gay. Therefore...
Lumpy's dad was gay not so.
I would like to know how they know that Cesar Romero was gay. Did he admit to it or was he outed? I did not grow up with him, but I remember him from the Latin lover days of movies. I am surprised that someone would claim that he was gay.
Some surprised me…RIP all.
So many due to AIDS - terrible.😢 The only good thing now is that, with medication, the disease is much better controlled.
Some of this is true but not all of it.
I didn't know Paul Winfield and Jim Nabors were gay.
I like the silent o es best
"the wages of sin is death."
Are you saying that they were sinning, therefore they died? I thought everyone died.
So I guess that means we're all sinners, since we all die.......
P.R. everybody dies eventually, so everyone sins!
That goes for straights too
This from a sinner himself?
The one from Brady brunch
Not exactly a healthy lifestyle is it. They are driven to have a constant bevy of Non-stop partners.
I apologize, I thought Aids was being better controlled these days
you should have been around in the 1980s..it was awful how many young men and women passed
It is. Look at the dates of their passing
It is, the mortality rate was much higher in the 80’s and 90’s.
A few surprises, sad.
Why did so many people die from AIDS💀☠
Ask Ronald Reagan
It happens when you rawdog a dookie chute. Back in the day, I guess they figured that they couldn't get a butthole pregnant, so why wear a rubber. They found out the hard way. Literally.
Gee, no freakin' idea. Really? 🤔
because they were ho mos
There were no drugs in 80s and 90s to treat it, and many men contracted it before anyone knew it existed. 😢
