thats a good idea. It would make a good emergency pump for a fish tank also. however, when the power goes out, I usually just use a 240v inverter to run my fish tank. it seems to be a strong pump. i might buy one someday to drain my fish tank.
We just recently had flooding (Christmas holiday actually) at my parent's house. There's a pump in the under the house, but it has to be turned on manually. I'm looking forward to your video using the sensors.
I have the same pump as yours. The maximum height that the pump can pump the water up to is 1.5 m and not a centimeter more. I wanted to use them to make a shower, but the pump is just worthless. Lost money.
What is the elevation from bottom of the well to the bucket? These little DC pumps loose a lot of power with increasing the head. It is good that it was even working at all. 12 LPM is a calculation for flat pumping.
For your needs you need bilge pump with integrated automatic on/off switch th-cam.com/video/pIsLSwy5er4/w-d-xo.html or the one with seperate automatic switch th-cam.com/video/9NJ-K7UG5tI/w-d-xo.html
Great video Morten! Typical Chinese ratings...optimistic to the point of fraud! You might want to try that pump with the hose running to the full height it will need during operation and recheck the flow rate. I'd hate to see you get the whole install all finalized and not have enough flow to keep up with with the water coming in! Just a thought. Anxious to see the whole project! eric
Hi +epd807 This tiny little pump just need to pump the water up in the blue pipe,, and it does not need to go as deep in the well as i did in this test. There are parts for like $20,, it is all fine. Thank you for watching! :-)

buy another back up pump and adreno and you can make adreno control primer at lev 0 is both off lev 1 small pump on to prim line lev 2 big pump on lev 3 back up pump if you don't want a adreno based trigger you can make a relay based trigger
Hello Morten, is that an old well for drinking water? How cool to have a permanent water supply with free water! Here in Australia I just priced up a well at $20,000 to give us a domestic water supply other than rainfall on our roof.
Hi +Stuart Goggin I have not had the water tested! but it shout be drinkable,, but if i can just use it for toilets, bath and clothes washing that would be a great start! Thank you for watching! :-)
This was long ago,, I really do not remember :-/ if it is not in the video,, I am afraid it is lost. But be aware of how high you are lifting,, that has a lot to say.

Great video - this pumps faster than I even need it. I will put a foot switch on it.

Hi +PeepBunnies
Yes,, right now i need a smart way to mount it all in the well. a plastic tube i think will do.

You could use amplifier transistors in place of the switches.

I think I got it a bit higher... but the pump rusted away in weeks,, so I am not going to disagree with you..
Nice video. I Have a question please , Can that pump work 100 ft below ?
It will not lift the water 100ft,,, you need a big pump for that. I think this will do like 5 meter (15ft-ish)
Awesome.

@@EEE-iw3fk nonsense. US companies generally follow ISO standards. Try getting a refund from Amazon then do the same on Alibaba.
very very good idea, backup pump for emergency, mini plc o arduiono black out electric line future project?
Hi +Andrea Ciaooo
Well i do think i will keep it very simple. a little and/or cricket or something.

the simple IC 555 timer (LM555) can automate the pump with the two switches the way you want
Hi +Henry Chang
That could be another option,, then I'd only need one switch.

I am afraid that it would make this setup unnecessary complex. I need it to be really simple.

this one is for diesel and oil, you can pump water with that?
I could,, but it did not last long,, purely build.

Can i reverse polarity? To put the hose in the tank? Or at least can i wrap a hose on the intake? Or the pump must stay in fuel for cooling
No, I do not believe that will work.
@@MyPlayHouse thank you !
You are Welcome.
The advertised 12L/min would be not pushing it up against gravity I think. Or its still ambitious. Whichever.
Hi +themaconeau
Yes or maybe with out a hose at all.. :-) pretty use less then..
4,5L a min is fine for what i need.

how high can that pump, pump up the water ?
I did not test this,, I was lifting two meters,, I thing 3-4 might be max,, and not much flow by then.
Hi. How big battery need for this pump ? 20AH will be enough?
I have run it on a 5,5AH,, it want run as long,, but probably a few hours.
