To be honest, I see a lot of Amaranth Claws in this. It is tempting, because it buffs 3 diffrent elements, but 99% of the time you only need 1. Having a Damage Dealer buffing himself is a massive drop in DPS. Going only to mid puts this outright behind Slay the Day. The only redeeming factor, at least I can see, is the very long uptime. But even then, you will have a hard time to make it worth it to use 4 ATB to buff instead to put that into outright damage. If we were to give him a bit of buff extension, this weapon could increase it's potential quite a bit. However, as soon as someone else can buff him with one of those elements, the weapon becomes almost useless. (Aerith now can imperial all of those elements and can, with citric wand, buff him with Ice potency) The Rabilities are interesting, but I can build Cloud up with this weapon in mind, without him dropping either Phystal Potency or Elemental Potency. Maybe in the future it will be easier, but then again, the Rabilities aren't THAT much better. (Barret for example has a very similar weapon) I for one am gonna skip Sephiroths and Clouds banners most likely. Aeriths at least gives versatility, but when I think about how often I use any Crossover weapon (except for Kamura Wand) these days. Yeah, I think I'll finally hit the 100k+ crystal mark for the first time and look forward to the 1 1/2 year anniversary!
the cloud banner (and to a lesser extent aerith banner) feels to me both primarily tailored for newer players that just started during anni. to catch them up for imperil weapons, and now cloud is essentially triple mini arcanum in 1 weapon with materia. they’re still really good for veterans of course but the design prly mainly had newer players in mind 🔥 thinking about it from a new players perspective, this cloud weapon (and terra's wand) is absolutely bonkers cuz it lets them just mainhand this and start clearing most of the content , instead of painfully waiting months and months to collect arcanums and imperils one by one. to me, it's apparent applibot had put a lot of thought into these banners to serve the interests of newer players and returning players. at the same time giving those weapons incredible R-abilities so they are extremely useful for veterans/whales as well. i applaud applibot for this. they obviously observe telemetry closely, and putting out banners that help retain new and returning players. 🔥🔥
I pulled OB6 on Sephiroth and to the costume on Aerith (5* only got). Kinda glad this banner is mid, only 17k crystals left, either will pull rest for more Aerith or on Tifa next week
My issue is that unfortunately I have Aerith in all my setups. So getting her uw would be great for me. However these banners have not been enticing at all. Praying tifa gives me something worth chasing😂
my 2 cents is that a good elemental enabler swiss knife at ob0 as a beginner but unless you invest to at least ob6, the elemental damage up doesnt cover the stats loss from anything less than ob6
I think that Cloud's weapon is mainly created to use the three materia slots for Kafka, exactly like Aerith's debuff weapon, I don't think there will ever be a similar situation where you need all three elements or debuffs (maybe Kafka in some brutal tower but I don't know) I'd like to bring the weapon to ob6 but I'll wait for Tifa and then I'll decide
8 multis to pull Locke set. It was mid my pulls, the weapon is a must if you have murasame and skysplitter set maxed. Now its the time to add a 3rd weapon slot (4th if you include ultimate weapon). Next week when Tifa is added im going to be broke after her weapon. Im not losing any 5* limited weapon
I have a feeling the next gen elemental weapon will either buff matk/patk or debuff mdef/pdef before buffing elemental dmg. I went it doing 2 pages, got super good pulls and got Locke sword to OB9. I will wait for the collab rerun and get it ob10 then. I hope we get more stuff beside kefka that will make that weapon shine.
I pull to get a copy just in case they do a big update on the material keep in mine what make this sword good or bad is the material you got on it this why this event let us make fire/ice/light material with elemental proficiency boost
I pulled chasing a single copy. Took 3 pulls and got ob1. I think if you really wanna use the weapon as a sub you need ob6 not so much for the high buff but the stats. I think even for me ob1 is not enough but like you I am not sure if I wanna go ob6.
@ it’s audio jargon. There’s highs, lows, and mids for audio range. Lows are akin to bass sounds and highs are akin to high pitched sounds like whistling noises.

It's a shame that the costume doesn't really match the weapon. If the costume had triple elemental mastery it would be a much better banner. The weapon is good. It offers Cloud some versatility in fights that require two elements. It might have some use in dungeon rankings that have multiple elemental weaknesses as well. The fact that it buffs means it will remain useful even when we get stronger elemental weapons. If these weapons were featured it would be great as we could get extra copies over time. As limited banners it really makes them seem for big spenders only. I like the costume so I might get it just to use as skin but I will decide after Tifa's banner. I have enjoyed the story of this crossover but the banners are a bit disappointing.
these items belong in half year anniversary territory. not a post 1 year collab. sad. i still pulled for all costumes but i hope they do something serious for tifa.

This weapon is a joke yuffies stripped moogle already does fire damage with a fire buff and it's not limited, tifas feather gloves do water debuff high at ob6 and mdef down again not limited. Terras rod is amazing, sephiroths is mid for a limited weapon but this with the costume has to be worst limited banner they've ever released

If that's true then it will have even less viability as those kind of fights are extremely rare

Hard to say really, but i dont think this weapon will have a long lifespan
Aerith's weapon is AMAZING, for B100 Jenova is game changer, use this before the two summons when the tentacles respawn is an incredible advantage

Idk we already have chars that buff PATK/MATK AoE so i feel like it would be redundant to have that on the elemental weapons tbh

I think OB2 is the early sweet spot as it raises the 2nd R ability, you will see in my video tomorrow

@ I had to have the Tera Rod for Aerith so I pulled for it up to the guaranteed copy. Was hoping for the awesome Princess Guard but no luck
