I got into Conan around 2003 but I didn't get to see actual full episodes until like 2007 which was around the time of the strike episodes. I'd love to see them again. They were so good. Not to mention the regular episodes.

Conan truly is a legend. There's no one else like him. He seems down to earth too. He's not a pretentious dolt like a lot of these celebrities. I truly wish the best for him.
They clearly gave him a heads-up, he opened the door way too fast when Conan rang the bell lol. I understand though, gotta make sure he's awake and dressed before you drag a camera crew over there.
Conan did mention ringing him from below to get up to the apartment.

This is why Conan is such a wholesome and sweet comic with an underlying dark tone LMAO I swear.
He truly doesn't give a shit if the guy is just playing hooky from work. He legit just sees an opportunity to squeeze some comedy out of making the guy feel uncomfortable.
You also see that side of Conan during the segment where he orchestrates a secret food meetup through a private chain of emails at work- and then shows up to bust anyone who showed up to eat cake LMAO. At the end of the sketch he even says that it was a waste of everyone's time.
Another example is when he found out that his producer Jordan comes in late to work on Fridays, he waited for him to bust his balls about it and squeezed a segment of 100% funny shit out of nothing.
He just loves to make people squirm lmao. I love Conan so much- he'll always be the king of late night to me.
This hits a lot different in the time of covid. Imagine you getting sick NOW and your boss dragging you back to work.

@Achilles_ 001 she was a minor in that tape, it was released without her consent by an older man who was known to give drugs to other underaged girls who have had previous history of being abused. regardless of whether it made her career, that doesn't matter. you don't see people who were in cp openly talking about how they're grateful for it. and paris hilton came from a wealthy family and was a social butterfly, which can't be said for the vast majority of people who's body were exploited.

Conan was the OG late nite guy to have so many segments with his workers. Show me Leno, Letterman, Carson, or others that constantly had funny bits with writers. Even Kimmel, Fallon, and Cordon don't and the reason is because they aren't funny on their own so they're embarrassed that they have writers. Conan, Colbert, Seth Myers all have their writers regularly because they're confident in their comedy
Colbert and Myers belong in the same category as the rest of those clowns. Conan is the one true host.
I hope that Michael was able to survive this terrible sickness.

I always thought it was obvious that they told him in advance that they're coming because Michael immediately answered the door the second Conan rang his door bell. It's examples like this that makes me question every Conan's "He DIDN"T KNOW that ****".

Later in the dialogue you can hear that Conan had to be buzzed in, so the writer was expecting someone to come up
This was an actual bit....thought up by Michael in an earlier writer's session and at first was ignored. After tweaking the original "story" Conan was On Board to turn it into a remote, rather than the original script calling for Michael actually coming to work and then blowing off the day mid morning by announcing he was sick and going home. The improved bit was much better! Now back to our regular scheduled programming! Cheers From Ohio
