To your point of falling in windy areas...I purchased several of these as well (I was lucky enough to have my Dollar Tree store have them stocked them in a cape cod blue, which I snapped up!).Sadly, the Dollar Tree higher stacks have gone down on a few gardeners and even broken on them. So while they are great little helpers, I would recommend taking care when stacking unless you can stake or stabilize them against something sturdy when going higher than 3 or 4. Great content on container gardens!

These are great, and you can plant many things in it...however the ones that are more expensive have other features. They are larger so you can grow things that require a little more room. They are also a little sturdier. They may require a bit less watering perhaps because they have a little more soil. But the DT ones are great for other reasons....they take up less space, require less soil, and like you said, they are way way less expensive.

Nancy Ortiz, I nust bought 5 of these. My husband drilled a hole in each section to allow water to drain.
This is a "must" otherwise your plants will drown. He also drilled larger hole in the middle because I am going to insert a stake through it and into the ground to stabilize it. Before I place any dirt in them, I am going to Hot Glue them together...also to stabilize them. Otherwise, a strong wind or a cat bumping against it, will easily make it fall over.

I'm worried that this container is not food grade. I've been researching this issue because I was considering using the containers myself. A recycling number in the bottom of the pot would tell you what kind of plastic it is made of - 1,2, 4, 5, and 7 are considered food grade. The pots at Dollar Tree have no number, so they probably not food grade, and probably have toxic chemicals that would leach into the soil and be taken up by the plants. Sorry, I usually try to refrain from making negative comments on people's videos, but in this case, I'm concerned about health and safety.
