I have to say Leo it was you Alvin and the band who were a huge influence when I was a young teen taking in all the crazy sounds the rock movement was putting out on Vinyl via radio and tv back when music really could bring about world change so thank you for giving me so many musical memories that have always stayed with me.
Just wanted for you to know that I am a ardent supporter to get Ten Years After inducted into the Hall of Fame!. TYA's performance at Woodstock alone shoul have been enough to qualify! I'm Going Home (by Hellicopter) was one for the AGES of Rock and Roll. Althouigh I wasn't there, I knew of TYA listening to your LPs before that. I did see the Woodstock Movie the following year, watching TYA's performance with excitement. I saw TYA at the Fillmore east 2X thereafter. And I saw TYA in 1998 at Bethel Woods, a 29th year anniversary of Woodstock (I never understood why 29 years and not the next year at 30 years). I brought my 15 year old son and his friend. My son was being tossed around in the Mosh Pit in front of the Stage!! On the way home....he said: "Dad, This was the Best Day Of My Life!".
thank you Leo for the message - love it to hear from you again. But so long to wait - I WANT LISTEN TO THE NEW RECORD - now and again and again and again and again, I`m sure it will be a great one - many regards and love from Luky😃hope to see you all soon!🥰
@@LeoLyonsMusician You'll be rockin for a long time. Seeing the video of you jamming on "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl" at Woodstock still puts me in awe. Best bass I've ever seen.
So glad to hear you have been working and making records Leo also doing dates…….especially since the grim days of covid madness so my love and best wishes to you and the band keep jamming 👍👍
I just turned 17, I’ve been playing bass for a couple of years now and I bought a 1966 vox violin bass, the bassline for I’d love to change the world got me started
Good to see and hear you once again, Leo! All the best with the single and tour. Maybe meet you, one of these auld gig nights ... All the best to you and your colleagues (including the Roadies!). Stay free, L. Rab F 🔊 👋 🔊
I did consider it but it's all in a state of flux. We didn't want to change the band name. We just wanted people to know who we are and the history of the players.
Hey Leo, Geezer Butler mentions you in his new book, said you were a big influence on him, I had no idea about that but I had a feeling, by how you play and how he played in the early 70's.
Thanks Leo. I was just wondering if touring ever gets old to you. What is the best and worst parts of touring to you? You've certainly been doing it for a long time. Saw you in Miami back in the late 60's and both shows I saw were great. Best wishes from Florida.
Playing live gigs never gets old and I enjoy that part immensely . It's great too meat fans. Touring can be tiresome, boring and tedious. The worst bits have to be the initial paperwork, filing for carnes, visas etc. Then there's then travelling. Many hours spent in a van or sitting on an aeroplane and of course the many nights alone in a hotel room. However music is a drug to me and I have to accept the down side of being a musician. Regards Leo
There are some good rocking tracks on that YT., channel and the link below shows the video page. I recall seeing Rory and his band at the Reading festival back in the 1970's. www.youtube.com/@MikeNadiBluesRock/videos
