How to Fill Gaps in Laminate Vinyl or Wood Floor

Here I use putty to fill gaps in the floor near the door trim. I think this is a quick easy way to fill unsightly gaps.

Lack of work area prep will result in that nasty gap. Go thru the site and inspect and bring a piece of the flooring to check. Use a undercut saw and cut back the jamb. 20 minute site check will result in a better looking job.

Hoover clean it then add crafted cut piece from lover cuttings wood filler let set sand then stain

Omg. I have the same issue. The tile we put down is no longer sold. I didn’t want to pull the whole floor up so this is perfect. This little area won’t be perfect but who cares. If someone is staring that hard at your floors, they have a prob. lol.

Been looking for a solution to my "gap" problem! But will this in any way affect the expansion of the floor? I know there is supposed to be room left for the floor to contract and expand (and there is space between the boatds and the wall, under the baseboards). Just wondering if this along a longer edge will hinder that expansion at all?

Yeah this was the closest color by itself. You can buy multiple colors and mix them together to find a match closer to the flooring you’re working with.

Not good actually. It works but you can still see it, so you score 51/100. Much better way is to mold small pieces from left over wood and craft an exact match. It takes more time but it'll look perfect 100/100.
