The positives greatly outweigh the negatives for me with this game, this is definitely my kind of game and I’m glad the developers chose a genre that I can really enjoy in order to get immersed in this story and learn about Sun Wukong and the friends and foes he interacts with. I’m also glad to see that potentially the PS5 version is more optimized than anticipated. Sounds like a safe bet to get this day one to me. Can’t wait to dive in.

@@b1zarr01 not sending out codes doesnt mean anything, they are a Chinese company, this is their first title, their main target audience is still Chinese, PS5 is not as popular as PC in China. The leaked PS5 footage though has FSR frame gen on, you can tell by the in and out ghosting artifacts, but it was targeting 60fps. I assume with frame gen off it could get to 40fps

I'm actually glad they dialed back the sheer difficulty in comparison to most of these types of RPGs lately. A few of Stellar Blade's bosses were downright aggravating to the point it started to pull immersion. Absolutely love that game but sometimes, damn.

If Game Science is only releasing the game in digital form, I'm buying from Steam and testing the waters with my Steam Deck and ROG Ally. I prefer my games in physical form, and that would be the only thing to change my mind to PS5.
As far as people being mad this is a " Boss Rush ". Ive took the liberty to start to read journey to the west. And all wukong fights really is other " demons " such as himself. Hes literally a God. A God who is extremley powerful. So if he is easily deafeating Gods why would u want 2 just beat up their minions for 50 minutes before u get to a boss fight?? Beating a bunch of powerful demons is more on par with the reality of Son Wukong

Digital Foundry's breakdown of that PS5 clip showed that it's actually dipping into the 30s at points. Not to mention Cyberpunk also released a clip of PS4 gameplay prior to Cyberpunk's launch. Definitely worried about PS5 performance, but hopefully it's good or at least gets patched quickly to run better.
I WANT to support smaller game companies but when they are pulling outlaw, mudshow bullshit like not providing codes for the PS5 version but rather only releasing a compressed to shit, 1 minute video I have my concerns. It looks like it'll be a neat addition to my library...at some point. Whether that point is at launch or sometime after remains to be seen and their lack of urgency when it comes to getting the PS5 version out there tells me this isn't exactly worth a day one purchase.

I really don’t understand why this game gets a pass on performance issues and lack of localization, when any other major launch would be dragged through the mud. If they cared about fixing performance issues, they would’ve done it by now considering how long the game has been in development. It’s straight cope to expect them to fix these issues at launch when it’s baked into the game itself.

The benchmark tests didn’t run perfectly on PC either. I run a 4080 Super with a Ryzen 7800x3D and got stutter and pop in on grass textures. Tried a bunch of different settings too. This game is the benchmark testing is any indicator is NOT designed to run at native resolution. People say it’s “well optimized” without really knowing what’s what. You almost NEED to use DLSS and Frame Gen to run this game at acceptable frame rate. Problem DLSS as far as what I’ve noticed also makes image quality blurrier and softer. As a whole I’m very skeptical about how this game will run and look and want to wait til other people get their hands on the full game and play first. Too many unknowns right now.
There’s no such thing as ddr6, I’ve got a 4070 super and 14600of with ddr5 it ran really well, less than expected but still high fps on 1440p high-cinematic over 60fps

yep. that ps5 version is going to be pale in comparison to PC. the publisher held that for a reason.
The benchmark tests didn’t run perfectly on PC either. I run a 4080 Super with a Ryzen 7800x3D and got stutter and pop in on grass textures. Tried a bunch of different settings too. This game is the benchmark testing is any indicator is NOT designed to run at native resolution. People say it’s “well optimized” without really knowing what’s what. You almost NEED to use DLSS and Frame Gen to run this game at acceptable frame rate. Problem DLSS as far as what I’ve noticed also makes image quality blurrier and softer. As a whole I’m very skeptical about how this game will run and look and want to wait til other people get their hands on the full game and play first. Too many unknowns right now.

We all need to be prepared to return this game. I have a 4070 super, r7 7700x, and 32gb ddr6 ram and the benchmark ran like hot garbage

There’s no such thing as ddr6, I’ve got a 4070 super and 14600of with ddr5 it ran really well, less than expected but still high fps on 1440p high-cinematic over 60fps

ran fine on my 4090 avg fps was 90 to 130 on hte benchmark at 3440 x 1440p on cinimatic

@@ChocolateEffigy cope harder. The game wasn’t a patch on the previous 2. The Mary sue section was awful. She could 1 tap enemies that Spider-Man had to hit 10 times. For most people the previous games Mary sue parts were the most tedious and the devs knew this but doubled down on them cause muh female empowerment. Maybe grow up and learn how to have conversations instead of getting triggered and making dumb comments like that.
Black Myth Wukong is a 10/10, but of course the game have some negative point but the game, the story, the graphic are just amazing 🤩so that’s why people don’t need to be scared about it. Just enjoy the game tomorrow ,thanks for your video @funmylife9248 it was very helpful and I’m gonna play this game at the launch.
