The mechassault games (not mech warrior series) had some essence of doom. I.e running circles around the enemies while obliterating them. Plus the soundtrack was hard af for a mech game. Other mech games usually go for edm style or Epic orchestra.
if you put these onto a CD i would be willing to marry you haha could you make them available for download or know of anywhere they could be downloaded? These songs are amazing!!!!! ^_^
i love the pc but i had some great times on Xbox and Play Station i loved Halo (mostly Halo 2 & 3) on Xbox (before 343) and Little Big Planet 2 (PS game) i don't care who wins the console wars i just want the games to live on, i don't care if the Xbox loses i just want to still be-able to enjoy (or try) what ever 343 can spit up, and Halo Wars was my favorite RTS game so i'm especially hyped for HW2 (gonna try to get it on PC, as that's where all my gaming time is spent now) and Mech Assault was one of my favorite games ever, this game really made me into robots and stuff Supreme Commander 2 was good..it had alot of what Halo Wars and Mech Assault had, especially the expansion mod for it (it had RTS elements from HW, and shit tons of mech looking robots, especially with the mod again.. AND LETS NOT FORGET HOW MASSIVE IT ALL IS! when i realized how big the cockpit of an ACU was compared to a human, i was like "OH GOD THAT'S MASSIVE!" [That's what she said XD]) course i still wish i had Mech Assault, i tried Mech Warrior Online but it felt too complex to feel anything like Mech Assault i imagine Mech Assault as one of those games like Doom 2016, "Fucking Obliterate First, Talk -Later- Never" and speaking of Doom, Of course i fucking loved it i haven't beat it yet but it's sure as hell fun (pun not intended) Little Big Planet 2 was pretty dang fun, my favorite bit was the Circuit Board Logic and my love for robots (spawned in by Mech Assault) made me create all kinds of sackbots.. usually controllable (again this seems inspired from Mech Assault..) infact i also liked sonic...so i made a Sonic Sackbot (I didn't have the dlc but i still made one better than everyone else's..my level is probably still up..i just hope people do my work justice..) And let's not forget what originally got me into Mech Assault and stuff Unreal Tournament..one of the funnest shooters ever i played Unreal, Unreal 2, Unreal Tournament, Unreal Tournament 2004 and UT3 and boy they're fun..i tried out UT4 but it's mostly a work in progress (I tried to make the flak cannon into a flame thrower..or an incendiary variant..but i couldn't get it to shoot at all. .) Huh..i wonder how badass Doomguy would be in a Mech....WE NEED THAT IN DOOM! XD (that would be REALLY awesome though)
