For me s24u is the pinnacle of smartphones. Great screen, brightness, chip-set, charging, body to screen ration,body design and AI features. Others are just gimmicks. Who would make use of a 4k nits or beyond, no one is spending time in the sun using their phones for all I know. However great video.

The phone's hardware looks amazing but in terms of software and user experience they are still terribly lacking. Unfortunately, they can't use Huawei's operating systems since the U.S. and its slaves will ban them too but I do hope Both Huawei and Honor merge again in the future.
If both the varient has same spec, and I'm assuming you need some demanding task to be done, I would recommend i9 one. One gen difference will not be as significant as i9 and i7. So i9 no brainer, assuming a same price.

That 4000 and 6000 means nothing, iPhone 15 Pro and S24 Ultra probably be way brighter even though having less than half the brightness in numbers.

at some point, someone has to say brightness works on a log scale, higher nit figures are not always immediately noticeable.
