I haven’t personally used trotlines, so it’s nice to see how you do it. It looks like a lot of fun! Glad you caught something. I know things will be picking up before too long. I’m hoping to fill the freezer. Nothing better than catfish from the creek!
@AnArkansasTrapper Believe me Chris, I know exactly what your talking about!!! Our Trapping Season opened up last Saturday, the 4th. But critters are still a little green and I've been after this 180"+ 12pt for 2yrs now. Was close last Saturday but wasn't a perfect situation so I let him walk at 40yds. Now I really want to bag him but winds have been bad since last Sat.
Sometimes it’s like that! This crazy weather has everything up and down. I think the catfish here are moved up into the creeks and brush to spawn. Gonna try some lines this weekend after this warm week. That one will make a good fish sandwich!
@@AnArkansasTrapper they might be on beds. I went a couple weeks ago and caught 2 flatheads and they were in the big rocks. Caught them on shad. It’s hard to tell exactly what they’re doing because I haven’t had enough good days to go. Good luck my friend
With the boat coming off the trailer? I may have been to deep. Fished the day before and got two and then the one this morning made 3. I was expecting to do better, but that speaks true for me every time I go after something.

It a quick passive was to be fishing and accomplishing other things at the same time.
Been years since I’ve run a trot line. Seeing this makes me want to get back out there
As a kid, dad had us cat fishing every weekend. Lots of good memories.
I had a big softshell turtle on mine
That sure turned out to be a work-out for ya!!! On is always better than none. GOOD VIDEO Chris, the daily struggles of an outdoorsman!!!
Nothing seems to go easy or as planned for me.

Looks like fun but dangerous! Can't believe you only caught one but glad you got your line back!! You're vacuum sealer is awesome buddy!!
It is a fun way to fish but is very easy to get hit badly. Must be aware and paying attention always.
One is better than none!
Always!

one is better than none . we have went back to bait lines after not being baited for a week, and had fish on the line . strange things happen .
Always! I k ow a lot of time one will catch a smaller fish and him struggling a day or two will have a bigger get caught eating it.
Nice chamber vac. I would not be without mine!!!!
They come with a hefty price tag but haven’t regretted the investment once.

I was hoping for a big flathead, I am sure I had it set to deep.

The blues were sure biting this weekend. I run clean out of vacuum seal bags.
@@jrow84 that is one of those good problems to have.
@@AnArkansasTrapper Yes sir! They seemed to be shallow. The boys running lines in the main channel down deep were complaining
oh oh , thought for sure that was going to be a swimming event. Think the big ones are in spawning?
